50 Years ago, on 13 Oct, 1960, Pope John XXIII in fact, DID open the (in-)famous Third Letter of Fatima - Jacques Vallée

P.S. Jacques
Vallee is a French author, (born September 24, 1939 in Pontoise, Val-d’Oise,
France), a venture capitalist, a PhD in computer science, ufologist and former
astronomer, currently residing in San Francisco, California.

In his 1977 book
– “UFO’: The Psychic Solution” (UFO Influences on the Human Race),
on Page 159, (see screen-print below), he writes a definitive paragraph about
the Third Secret (letter) of Fatima,

That,
(opening/revealing of The Third Letter of Fatima), personally speaking, and
incidentally, was often alluded to in our household, by my father, who used to
remind us kids, “that on the 13th of October, 1960, something ‘special’
would happen, (on Earth), and,

The fact that
Catholics at that time in the late 1950s, always knew (i.e. we were often told
by the Church’s news bulletins etc) that the so-called, ‘secret’ Third Letter
of Fatima, would be opened on the 13 Oct, 1960, by the current Pope (i.e. John
XXIII)** at the time.

As far as we
(kids) were concerned, it NEVER, happened!

What DID happen,
on that day was, that my father had a heart attack, and died on October, 13,
1960 – only 4 years after our migration to Australia!

But then, years
later in the late 1970s sometime, I am reading a book (see above), by Jacques
Valée on UFOs, when I came across this intriguing passage and paragraph, on
Page 159 starting at “The Secret of Prophesy” heading

reminded me, when I just read MrFusion’s post (above) where it states:

“According
to the private secretary of Pope John XIII, Archbishop Loris Capovilla, the
envelope containing the Third Secret of Fatima was kept in the drawer of a
bedside cabinet in the papal apartments which once belonged to St. Gregory
Barbarigo. . . . (snipped)

** In a news
paper article of “The Australian”, Tue 20 Feb. 2001, it stated that .
. . ” . . . following the removal of his (John XXIII) body from the grave,
that had held his remains since 1963, . . . . .(the Pope’s proposed
‘canonization’), comes after it was discovered his body was intact – apparently
a key indicator of those who are in the Lord’s favour – while the vestments in
which he was buried had all but disintegrated. (– End quote.)

So, what may or
may not happen, exactly 50 years from THAT day, on 13 October, 2013, will
remain to be seen.
