America, Turkey, And Saudi Arabia Are Waging War On Kurds In Syria Via Al-Qaeda

An excerpt from, “Russian Lawmaker Slams US for ‘Silence’ Over Killing of Syrian Kurds” (RIA Novosti, September 18, 2013):

A senior Russian lawmaker bristled at Washington on Wednesday for its “silence” about the recent killing of hundreds of civilian Kurds by a jihadist rebel group linked to al-Qaida in Syria’s civil war.

Some 450 Kurds, most of them women and children, were killed by the al-Nusra Front between July 28 and August 2 near the northern Syrian city of Aleppo. The Front is linked to al-Qaida and is considered a terrorist group by the United Nations.

“Why is the US silent?” Alexei Pushkov, who heads the international affairs committee of the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament, said on Twitter.

“Where is the moral compass of [US Secretary of State] John Kerry?” he added in an apparent reference to Kerry’s own reported use of the idiom.

An excerpt from, “NATO Terrorists in Syria Attack Kurdish Minority” by Tony Cartalucci (Land Destroyer, January 27, 2013):

The Western media and Western government representatives from the United States and across the European Union, still insist that the sectarian bloodbath unfolding in Syria, fueled by US, British and EU weapons and cash, is a so-called “pro-democracy” uprising. Why then, one might ask, are these so-called “pro-democracy” freedom fighters turning their weapons on Syria’s Kurdish minority if the “rebels” are allegedly locked in mortal combat with a “dictatorship” they seek to overthrow for the sake of all Syrians?

The answer of course is that the conflict is most certainly not a “pro-democracy” uprising, but rather Saudi-Qatari inspired sectarian extremists imported and armed by NATO from abroad, to subjugate and conquer the people of Syria – to subjugate and conquer anyone who does not subscribe or submit to Saudi-inspired, NATO underwritten extremism in pursuit of foreign-backed regime change and regional geopolitical reordering.

Eternal outsiders, who in this century can only have marveled at the wasted fortunes that the Arab world lavished on Palestinian nationalism, the Kurds are the Middle East’s essential poor boys. Deprived even of their own oil and kept on short rations in one state, their national dress banned in another, their language in still a third, their most basic human and civil rights denied to differing, but often extreme, degrees at various times in various places, the Kurds have resisted assimilation with a constancy confounding their would-be masters. They have survived the first aerial bombing in the Third World, poison gas, the deliberate leveling of their rural society in Iraq, mass destruction of villages and forced deportation to the western cities of Turkey, and the assassination of their leaders in Iran. The Royal Air Force bombed Iraqi Kurds in January 1919 in what is believed to be the first use of air power to put down revolts; bombing was cheaper than garrisoning troops.

An excerpt from, “Modern Turkey – A Shining Example of Secular Democracy?” by Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed (Media Monitors Network, December 18, 2001):

In 1997 the State Department granted market licenses to Bell and to Boeing Aircraft for attack helicopter – although these are used to bombard Kurdish villages. In particular, Turkey has about 2,800 U.S. supplied armoured personnel carriers (APCs), which are often used to clampdown on domestic dissidents by Turkey’s misnamed “anti-terror” police units. Amnesty International conducted a three-year study on these police groups, which it sent to U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright in an effort to block the transfer. The report provides examples of identified “anti-terror” units torturing children, sexually assaulting prisoners, using electric shock torture, beating, burning, and the near-drowning of suspects, as well as other gross violations of human rights. Among 280 victims of the “anti-terror” units mentioned in AI’s report were “infants, children, and the elderly.” In spite of this evidence, during December 1998 the U.S. State Department granted an arms deal to Turkey relating to the sale of further APCs.
