JUST IN:  George Zimmerman Arrested for Domestic Altercation Involving Gun

Reports are coming out of Orlando that George Zimmerman has been taken into custody after an alteration involving a gun.

The incident reportedly occurred at a Lake Mary, Florida residence involved two other individuals according to CNN.  Zimmerman, 29, was placed under investigative detention. 

This latest incident comes on the heals of his wife, Shellie Zimmerman, filing for divorce this past Thursday.  In recent interviews she described the Peruvian-American as “selfish” and feeling “invincible.”  Early reports from AP and CNN indicate he threatened this wife and her father with a gun. 

Earlier this month Zimmerman was stopped for another speeding incident in Lake Mary, Florida for driving 15 miles over the 45 mph speed limit.  In July he was stopped for speeding in Forney, Texas and admitted to carrying a gun in the car’s glove compartment. 

Zimmerman was acquitted of the 2012 killing of the unarmed African-American teen Trayvon Martin.  His attorneys successfully argued a self-defense case having him acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in this high profile case.
