Stand Down Order? Capitol Police Called Back to Hill During Navy Yard Shooting

In an unprecedented report, just put out by WSUA9, it appears the Capitol Police SWAT team was called back to the Hill, in an apparent stand down order. This order was given while the shooter was still active.The Team was in contact with Metro PD, and two of the Metro officers went in, one was shot. Capitol Police just issued a statement saying:
The USCP offered and provided mutual support and assistance at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday. Chief Kim Dine has opened a preliminary investigation into the allegations presented.
The Capitol Police CERT team is based just a few blocks from the Navy Yard, and a Police source said law enforcement officers were only 30 seconds from the gate when the initial call came out alerting the presence of an active shooter.
Over the past few years we have seen this sort of “stand down”order be given during times of crisis. If the watch commander would have allowed the team to enter, they could have potentially saved lives, and prevented civilian injuries. Over and over again it seems these events are “allowed” to happen, to ensure maximum damage. Interestingly, talks of gun control have continually been echoed across the political spectrum leading up to this event; and at the conclusion only added a push to restrict the 2nd Amendment.
