TWO SCARY MOVIES

The film Final Hours shows a possible THEORY on how our planet has experienced five major extinctions in geologic history and how “our prolific production of greenhouse gases has the ability to trigger a sixth mass extinction.”

The movie “2012” was one of the best opportunistic movies of all time partly because of that opportunism, but also because it ignored the original thesis for its birth – the Hapgood-Einstein theory of Polar ice displacement, never allowing the audience in on this particular belief or any reason for such a catastrophe, let alone Hapgood’s – and it still became a blockbuster. Why? Because of all the conflicting “End Time” hype floating around outside of Hapgood and Einstein.

That and the fact that reality is hard to face – the truth hurts – makes us suckers for punishment.

Truth hurts so much that the CIA is reputed to have taken the trouble to invent the phrase, “Conspiracy Theory”, dress up conspiracy theorists in tin hats, and call them crazy – people who just couldn’t believe the Lone Gun story or the strange path of the ‘Magic Bullet’, or scores of other anomalies; the same people who, quite logically, cannot accept two buildings coming down in an obviousy controlled demolition followed hours later by another one a couple of blocks away, 47-stories of concrete and steel just “collapsing into its own footprint”, a phrase used in the controlled demolition world, something the 9/11 Commission ignored!

“Flying saucers, yetis, and crop circles are all popular topics in the tabloids” say the conspiracy ‘debunkers’.

Then adding a modicum of truth to fan the fire in the pants, they have to admit that ”universal legends of a Great Flood are probably true since they’re in every oral tradition on the Planet” including the Zulus; and accept that “ancient architectural wonders such as the Egyptian pyramids, which seem to defy even modern construction techniques” actually exist probably because you can see them. Then they go back to the web of Great Lies that hold their world together: ”…and one begins to realize that although most of these mysteries are probably just fiction, there must be some kernel of truth to capture the public imagination.”

Here’s one of those Kernels:

On 6th July 1960 Lt Colonel Harold Ohlmeyer, a United States Airforce Commander, sent a reply to a letter from our friend, one Professor Charles Hapgood who had requested his opinion on a feature found on a map of 1513 AD called the Piri Reis Map. Lt Colonel Ohlmeyer’s reply was a bombshell. The map, showing the coastline of the east coast of the Americas and the west coast of Africa, the Colonel remarked, also seemed to show the coastline of Queen Maud Land in Antarctica free of ice – a condition it had not been in for some 9000 years! 

In fact, it is only in recent times that modern man has been able to map this coastline using sub-surface surveying techniques that can penetrate the ice sheet that lies on top of it. 

Ohlmeyer had no idea how a map existing in the 16th century could have got hold of such knowledge. 

Before continuing this story, keep in mind one fact:

The “waste product” Carbon Dioxide is plant food and the more of it plants get, the faster they grow, the bigger their fruits and vegetables are and the more nutritious, like in a greenhouse…

Now imagine that you are living on the bottom of a sea of gaseous and liquid nutrients and walkng around on a ground full of solid nutrients, all being gathered together by various interconnected living entities in that system, of which you are just one individual

While you are walking aournd wondering “Why Are We Here?”, each iving being involved in the system is swapping ‘waste products’ with each other in a continuous cycle – one family, the animals, breathing out waste carbon dioxide for the plants, dropping waste phosphates et al for the Earth’s nutrient replenishment, and another, much larger bunch, the plants from plankton to little green apples ‘breathing’ out the ‘waste’ oxygen that mammals use for fuel traded for the use of carbon dioxide bending the linear concept ’food chain’ into a mandala.

We can live about three minutes without Air, only three days without water or Rain, the purest of water, and about three weeks without solid food from the Earth,

Let’s look at one nutrient we need to live - nitrogen. ”Air is 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen but we can’t get at the nitrogen without other living beings called bacteria ‘fixing’ it for us… what a partnership… symbiosis? Biosphere?

The Earth is a closed ecosystem fueled by ‘wavicle’-charged energy packages called sunshine! Um… the Earth is a big greenhouse, guys.

Because we are not conscious of being in that imaginary nutrient sea I like to call ’Greenhouse Earth’, we will freak when the supermarkets run out of food during any service delivery disruption caused by Katrinas or Sarahs… or the people trying to scare you out of growing your own food on a community basis, (the bigger the better, in McLuhan-style Global Villages – unlike Air, Rain and sunlight, that’s one of the things you have to work the Earth for.

The best food supply chain on Earth is the one that starts in a nearby community garden and ends up on your table.

Now, to the point. Which one of these scenarios is believeable? These two pics from NASA…

Personally, I’d call this Sciencc Fiction, but please make up your own mind…

So what is methane? Also called Natural Gas but “Methane” sounds more ominous, it’s that very profitable stuff underneath the Palestinian-owned coastal waters that Israel is illegally mining

Natural gas, or Methane is used directly to heat homes and commercial buildings. It is also used in the generation of electric power. During the past decade natural gas accounted for about 1/5 of the total energy consumption worldwide, and about 1/3 in the United States – valuable, profitable stuff…

Natural gas is often found with petroleum deposits. Before it’s delivered onto the energy grid, natural gas, like petroleum, is usually processed and the cleaned gas is then distributed throughout the world in thousands of miles of pipeline. Local utility companies add a nice smell before delivering the gas to their customers, who might otherwise think the end of the world was nigh.

The World Bank’s video wants you to put the idea that the ice caps are melting into your head as “real”… but is it? The NASA sattelile pictures say otherwise.

This is a well-made film with expensive ‘production values’ that help make it as believable as 2012, but for the wrong reasons;

The World Bank says, “If we do not begin to significantly curtail the use of carbon-based fossil fuels, this freed methane threatens to radically accelerate the speed of global warming, potentially producing a disaster beyond the ability of the human species to adapt.”
