Christianity, these days, has become a cult of weakness and masochism. So many Christians revel in the perception of themselves as being “persecuted.”
And they are.
But instead of fighting back, they sit around getting off on it.
It sickens me.
Christ wasn’t like that. He wasn’t crucified because he was weak. He allowed himself to be crucified as a willing sacrifice.
That’s why you shouldn’t celebrate weakness, nor should you revel in being persecuted.
Be strong, and fight for your beliefs. I would respect Christians more if they were like that.

God expects his people to defend self. Many times pastors are so steeped in the traditions of men, they misinterpret the Bible. They teach their congregations falsehoods because they are Biblically illiterate.

Jesus wasn’t a Christian. READ the Gospels. Jesus was against the established religion at the time. He preached against them. READ the Gospels. He called them vipers and asps. They made life for normal people difficult. They made ridiculous laws and rules. He went into the Temple and chased out the “bankers”…. Jesus was awesome and didn’t back down. These “Christians” today don’t know anything about the historical meanings of Christ’s messages. For example, turning the other cheek. You have people preaching that Jesus meant not to fight back when attacked. Nothing further from the truth. Jesus was telling his followers that if someone “bitch slapped” them (yes, I did use that word), because they were a Christian, then turn the other cheek. That’s because “bitch slapping” someone wasn’t an assault designed to hurt or kill a person. It was meant as a humiliation or embarrassment to the person being bitch slapped! Jesus, later tells his disciples to sell their cloaks and buy swords. They show him two swords, he tells them that is good. Jesus knew that Christians would be persecuted for their beliefs. He knew that they would have to defend themselves. When Jesus was being arrested, one of his disciples pulled out a sword and cut off the ear of one of the people that came to arrest Jesus. Jesus knew that he had a sword prior to the encounter. However, Jesus tells him, that those that live by the sword, will die by the sword. This does not mean, don’t fight back when you are being attacked. Jesus was on a mission, he knew that mission would include his arrest. I THINK IMHO that he was telling the disciples that you shouldn’t always react with a sword first. Anyway, I’m sick of these pseudo Christians that have fallen into false teaching and legalism. We need Christians that will defend and fight for themselves and their religion. Not spread the religion by the sword tip, but defend the religion with just as much zeal.

The battle is not carnal, but spiritual. True Christians need to believe and pray that Satan shall be bound each day and that the devices of the principalities of the air be stopped. I pray that the principalities fall to the earth each day just as Lucifer was hurled from heaven down to the earth, and that the brain of Satan be bound. For every high thing and imagination that exalts itself against God shall be cast down.
When you focus on the battles of this world in terms of what you see in the natural, it is easy to be discouraged. There are those who are matrys and have great reward in heaven. The Lord restores to every one that goes that extra mile, that gives his cloak also, and more than is asked and even turns the other cheek. Yes, Jesus said it is enough when they showed him their two swords. And we have the right to bear arms pursuant to the second amendment regardless of whatever case law has been written. We the people do ordain this constitution. The people means each individual because they were going together as a group, or thus a constitution.
And pray the Word over yourself and your family. An exampe is Psalm 91. A thousand shall fall at (state your name)’s side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not draw nigh you.
Pray for all men that they turn to the Lord. Pray that you not be tempted. Pray for those in authority that they turn to the Lord or be replaced with those that do follow Him. That is the real battle.
And remember that we ought to obey God rather than man per Peter and the apostles in Acts 5. In the even of dispute, the Word of God prevails over the laws of man. Yet must we also obey magistrates. Remind those in authority that they are also subject to Romans 13. They are the agents of God and really need to follow Him.
With long life shall I satisfy Michael Carrigan and the rest of the body of Christ. And claim the promise that we in Christ are over the nations of the world as is stated in Jeremiah 1.

First, if you read the bible, Christians turn the other cheek, not fight senseless wars, killing innocent people to benefit rich people, so why would you even be in the military, if you were a Christian?
Second, freedom of religion gives you the right not to marry, if you are a homosexual. It even gives you the right to try to convert yourself to being straight, if you believe it is sinful. It does not give you the right to dictate other people’s religious beliefs, homosexual or not.
