Stratfor Operative Alex Jones Diverting Traffic Away from Ride For The Constitution
Known Stratfor operative, Alex Jones, is using his web page to refer all of his readers to an erroneous report using an incorrect name for the Ride For The Constitution trucker protest coming up on October 11th-13th. Paul Joseph Watson has published two articles recently containing false information meant to direct infowars readers away from the actual information associated with the Ride For the Constitution protest. He linked back to US News as a source, certainly to use the Infowars tactic of being nothing more than a news aggregator so that they can direct traffic how they see fit as well as provide themselves with plausible deniability for false reports such as this.
Among the bogus information contained in Watson’s articles are the following:
“…plans by the feds to order armed National Guard troops to close Washington DC’s Interstate Route 495 tomorrow in order to derail a mass protest and potential blockade being organized by a group called Truckers Ride for the Constitution.”
Pete Santilli was asked about the spread of this misinformation and said, “Alex Jones is an aggregator who can blame all his mistakes on other peoples false propaganda. If he can create a fearful title and blame it on somebody else it amounts to plausable deniabliity. We as investigative journalists immediately picked up the phone and checked with authorities and verified that his information was false.”
If Infowars was truly interested in making people aware of this protest they would have linked to the actual site for Ride For the Constitution, they would have linked to the actual Ride for the Constitution FaceBook page, they would have reached out to the appropriate point of contact, Zeeda Andrews, instead of citing nameless volunteers who falsely claim to be members of the planners of Ride For The Constitution.
