BLOG DEL NARCO: Corrupt Mexican Cops Led Discovery of Mass Graves, 18 Bodies Unearthed Thus Far
Corrupt Mexican police officers working for drug cartels have led authorities to mass graves in La Barca near Lake Chapala in the state of Jalisco.
Mexican federal authorities were investigating the November 3rd disappearance of several federal investigators, leading them to two dozen corrupt police officers working in the states of Jalisco and Michoacan. It is alleged these police officers fed information to several cartels including Knights Templar and the New Generation cartel.
The police officers confessed to their affiliation with narcos and led authorities to eight grave sites where thus far 18 bodies have been unearthed. The first of the bodies were uncovered this past Friday; it is anticipated more bodies will be discovered. The bodies showed signs of being gagged and tortured. Unofficial sources, including Blog del Narco, are reporting the two missing federal investigators are amongst the dead.
The mass graves were located near the tourist area of La Barca located in western Mexico near Lake Chapala, a favorite retirement community for Americans. La Barca is an hour and a half outside of Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco.
The bodies have been transported to Guadalajara for autopsy and identification while the search for more graves continues.
