This is a reply to Jaydog there isn’t a reply tab down there. Unless you die almost instantly in lung shots the blood gets turned into almost a foam from being inside your lungs often times the majority of it comes out of your mouth, because it triggers a cough reflex and your trachea and esophagus are usually a larger hole than the gun shot. He could have been shot in the back, the bullet wound doesn’t have to be large on the surface and it doesn’t have to exit. You’d be surprised how much tougher the skin is to the organs under neath. Even a 40 cal. handgun entry might look like its about the size of a pencil on the skin, but half of a lung will pretty much be soup. Check out some graphic hunting photos you’ll see the same thing.

I worked with red paint before and from experience that blood is very bright and not dark. It looks so much like fake blood that’s used in movies. When someone bleeds and the blood coagulates it turns dark.

What I find interesting is the lack of wounds to the torso or any other area for that matter. I’m also at a loss to explain where that amount of blood came from with no apparent wounds, other than what appears to be facial abrasions, and the blood itself looks awfully thick and congealed for fresh blood AND it’s atop of the carpeting there.

I have 14 years as a Flight Paramedic. It is real blood. It coagulates just like that as the plasma is separated. The carpet is a perfect sponge for it to occur. Have seen that type scene many times. What I find odd is the amount of separation. That is usually seen in people who have copious amounts of alcohol in their system.
