Nigella sativa is an annual flowering plant, native to south and southwest Asia. It grows to 20–30 cm (7.9–12 in) tall, with finely divided, linear (but not thread-like) leaves. The flowers are delicate, and usually coloured pale blue and white, with five to ten petals. The fruit is a large and inflated capsule composed of three to seven united follicles, each containing numerous seeds. HIV has never been isolated, much less been shown to have any capacity to infect another person. Thus it fails Koch’s Postulate, the fundamental test for defining the aetiology of a disease.
AIDS is not caused by a virus called HIV.
Retroviruses comprise a large part of the normal genome; under certain circumstances, they emerge. These circumstances vary; one is the severe immunosuppression caused by prolonged administration of antibiotic therapy, such as is commonly utilised when treating the chronic sexually transmitted diseases of gonorrhoea, syphilis, and chlamydia associated with a promiscuous homosexual “lifestyle”. This “lifestyle” will usually fail to take an equivalent interest in the principles of a good diet; folate as found in green leafy vegetables is known to suppress the emergence of these retroviral protein fragments.
