Eyewitness To Hitler Warns Americans: “Keep Your Guns. Keep Your Guns And Buy More Guns” (Video)
When Katie Worthman was a little girl in Austria, she witnessed firsthand Adolph Hitler’s rise to power and the Soviet communist occupation that followed. She also witnessed, for decades, the distortions of the media when it came to the reporting of the events.
From her eyewitness perspective, Worthman said that the whole thing didn’t happen overnight, in a brutal attack, like the media portrays it, but rather, it evolved into a dictatorship gradually, over a period of a few years. Hitler didn’t come across as someone evil, to be feared, initially. ”In the beginning, Hitler didn’t look like, or talk like a monster at all. He talked like an American politician.”
Here are some things that occurred in Austria, according to Worthman, that just might look familiar to Americans:
- Hitler was elected with 98% of the vote.
- Hitler destroyed the existing medical system when he brought a national healthcare plan into being.
- First, people were forced to register their guns to cut down on crime.
- Then they were forced to turn them in or risk capital punishment for keeping them.
Worthman’s eyewitness account is eerily reminiscent of what we can see going on in the United States today.
“In 1938, the media reported that Hitler rode into Austria with tanks and guns and took us over. Not true at all,” she says. “The Austrian people elected Hitler by 98% of the vote by means of the ballot box. Now you might ask how could a Christian nation… elect a monster like Hitler. The truth is at the beginning Hitler didn’t look like or talk like a monster at all. He talked like an American politician.“We also had gun registration. All the Austrian people… had guns. But the government said, ‘the guns are very dangerous. Children are playing with guns. Hunting accidents happen and we really have to have total controlled safety. And we had criminals again. And the only way that we can trace the criminal was by the serial number of the gun.’“So we dutifully went to the police station and we registered our guns. Not long after they said, ‘No, it didn’t help. The only way that we won’t have accidents and crimes [is] you bring the guns to the police station and then we don’t have any crimes anymore and any accidents. And if you don’t do that: capital punishment.’“So that’s what we did. So dictatorship didn’t happen overnight. It took five years. Gradually, little by little to escalate up to a dictatorship.“When the people fear the government, that’s tyranny. But when the government fears the people… that’s liberty. Keep your guns. Keep your guns and buy more guns.”

The people in Iraq under Saddam never had to surrender their guns and ammo. The Christian Science Monitor even ran a story right before the American invasion that the gun shops in Baghdad had more business than they could handle because the Iraqis wanted to stock up in preparation for dealing with looters.
So why didn’t all that private gun ownership keep Saddam from becoming a dictator?
I’ll take a shot at answering your question. Iraq is made up of factions and ethnic groups that have no use for each other. Saddam filled the role of benevolent dictator and all of the factions respected that keeping the whole thing together. I was on an extended European vacation back in the 1970′s and stayed in the home of a doctor in Yugoslavia. The good Dr. shared with me that they feared for their country and worried what would happen when Broz Tito died. When he did die his body was barely cold when the various factions started fighting and the country split up.
As far as the source of this story goes, she is nearly the same age as my mother who passed away this year, also an Austrian ex pat and would have been 8 years old during Hitlers “Anschluss” or annexation of Austria. I think her understanding of what was going on in the political arena would have been extremely limited and as far as references to health care back then seems rather ludicrous. My mothers most vivid memories of those times were running for bomb shelters, hunger, food shortages and spending 13 months hiding in an attic so as not to be seen and raped by the occupying Russian soldiers.
I’m also an Austrian ex pat and my main recollection of life at the time was having the bombed out ruins and rubble piles for a playground and riding the streetcar having a Russian soldier sitting in the seat beside me holding a sub machine gun on his lap. Its already too late for the USA, you have allowed a country that in the words of former CIA director Colby had a government run by organized crime to turn into a country run by fascist thugs. Her one statement that I agree whole heartedly with is keep your guns and buy more of them. It will make the fascist scum tremble in their shoes.
In Cuba my father also had to turn in his guns and look at what has happen! Over 50 years of Communist Dictatorship were the people are jailed for talking down the government. I have a family member which was jailed just for talking bad about the government and not having food
for his family. He spent 23 years in jail.
There are no freedoms in Cuba and the people just have to take it since they do not have any guns! Freedoms and guns go together, period!

In answer to question #1 Yes!
Question #2 If you are thinking about it, its probably too late. Those “in the know” started to exodus some time ago. I have a good close friend that subscribes to an expensive personal advisory service that contacted them in March of this year and advised them to “get ALL of their investments out of the US”. They further advised them that if they intended to leave the US that they should proceed and initiate the process “While they still can”.
Question #3 I hope you have food, water, cash, firearms and ammo stored. If you are really prepared you also have some gold or silver. Hold on to your hat and enjoy the ride, it will be interesting.

Why do People insist on comparing Obama to (s)Hitler.
They assume Hitler took gun rights from everyone. When in actuality gun ownership became better in Hitlers reign for the majority. If you were a minority, (Jewish/Gypsy/non-white) it didn’t however.
Now if Obama tried restricting guns on specific groups like say Muslims and Asians(both small minority groups in america) you could compare the two.
