Tsunamis cannot reach 500 meters in height, except under very special circumstances such as in the enclosed Lituya Bay in Alaska July 9, 1958. Other than that there hasn’t been a tsunami over 50 meters high when it reached land, that I can find in my research except that one in Alaska.
There is also a maximum physical height of tsunamis when they reach land because of the structure of water when generated by earthquakes and slides in open ocean. If a large meteor hit close to land the wave height would exceed that maximum height because of the energy generated from the impact.
So, I am saying that this video is just a scare tactic, for whatever reason I can’t imagine, other than to make the originator of that article look like they know what they are talking about by using large numbers to impress naive people.
