(N.Morgan) When I saw this on the local news, I was sickened by what this poor woman had to endure. Over charges, mind you, that were reduced.( Failure to appear for simple assault) She lost her arm, after police served a warrant and arrested her. Ms. Needham told police, upon them entering her home, that she needed to use the bathroom.

She was denied and tased and arrested. The handcuffs were too tight, according to Amy J. Needham, 35, attorney,  when Ms. Needham repeatedly asked for medical assistance 16 times in the course of a week, she was ignored. The end result, doctors had no choice but to amputate her arm.

This sort of sick, medical neglect in the jails happens all over this country and goes ignored. Ms. Needham is only asking for $75,000 for the loss of her arm. I don’t think that’s enough. For the loss of her arm and future employment, I wish she’d sue the city as well. This has to stop.
