West Virginia 9/11: FEMA Region 3 is A False Flag for EPA Power (Here's Why-Video)

While West Virginians were learning of a devastating chemical spill in the Elk River that has made water undrinkable for 300,000 people, on January 9th 2014 the US House of Representatives was busy trying to reign in the EPA and their war against the States.  It has been suggested that in retaliation to the House passing this bill another false flag was created to rally the American populace to stand up with Barack Obama and his EPA.

States across the nation continue to push back against the EPA. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has started waging war on the American standard of living. During the past few years, the agency has undertaken the most expansive regulatory assault in history on the production and distribution of affordable and reliable energy.

Numerous regulations, all proposed within a short time frame, have created chaos and uncertainty, stagnating investment as the economy attempts to recover from recession. These regulations are causing the shutdown of power plants across the nation, forcing electricity generation off of coal, destroying jobs, raising energy costs, and decreasing reliability.

In addition, the EPA has radically shifted the balance of power between the states and the federal government by violating the concept of cooperative federalism in which the EPA and states are to work together in order to effectively balance economic progress with environmental protection.

Figure 1 Clearly shows how the number of instances where the EPA has dispproved state proposals during the last 4 presidential terms, The number of regulatory disapprovals clearly skyrockets with the election of Barack Obama as president. Since Obama was elected the EPA is second guessing state proposals to an unprecedented degree.

On January 9th the House passed the Reducing Excessive Deadline Obligations Act that would ultimately eliminate requirements for the Environmental Protection Agency to review and update hazardous-waste disposal regulations that continue to negatively influence American ‘s way of life. 

The bill amends both the Solid Waste Disposal Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Comprehensive And Liability Act often referred to as Superfund, which was created in 1980 to hold polluter industries accountable for funding the cleanup of hazardous-waste sites.

Last count there are over 1300 priorty Superfund sites in the US.

The legislation was passed by a vote of 225 to 188, mostly along party lines, with all but four Republicans supporting the bill and all but five Democrats opposing it. One of those Democrats crossing party lines to support the changes to environmental law was Rep. Nick Rahall of West Virginia. See Complete Roll Call and Voting Results Here.

The sponsor of the bill, Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CO), touted the “common-sense” changes as needed economic relief.

“We are five years into this failed experiment of increased government spending, taxation, and regulation,” Gardner said in a statement. “The results are clear: The power to grow our economy and put Americans back to work lies in the private sector. With more than 80,000 pages of new federal regulations published in 2013 alone, common-sense revisions of existing rules and regulations are a vital part of ensuring businesses that power our state and local economies are given the capability to grow.”

  The West Virginia chemical spill will likely have a big influence on the US Senate, which is now unlikely to pass the bill. In addition, the White House has promised to veto the legislation, this chemical spill will give Obama reason to veto the bill if the senate chooses to stand with the American people.

In West Virginia, federal authorities opened an investigation into what caused the leak that poisoned the river and shut down much of the state’s capital, Charleston and surrounding counties. US Attorney Booth Goodwin said authorities will take whatever action is appropriate based on the evidence found, reports the Associated Press.
