GOOD FAITH defined: Honesty of intention, and freedom from knowledge of circumstances which ought to put the holder upon inquiry. Siano v. Helvering, D.C.N.J., 13 F.Supp. 776, 780. CREDIBLY INFORMED defined: The statement in a pleading or affidavit, that one is “credibly informed and verily believes” such and such facts, means that, having no direct personal knowledge of the matter in question, he has derived his information in regard to it from authentic sources or from the statements of persons who are not only “credible,” in the sense of being trustworthy, but also informed as to the particular matter or conversant with it. CRAFT defined: Generally, any boat, ship or vessel. A trade or occupation of the sort requiring skill and training, particularly manual skill combined with a knowledge of the principles of the art. Also the body of persons pursuing such a calling; a guild. Guile, artful cunning, trickiness. THE SHEPHERD’S BOY AND THE WOLF
A Shepherd’s Boy was tending his flock near a village, and thought it would be great fun to hoax the villagers by pretending that a Wolf was attacking the sheep: so he shouted out, “Wolf! Wolf!” and when the people came running up he laughed at them for their pains. He did this more than once, and every time the villagers found they had been hoaxed, for there was no Wolf at all. At last a Wolf really did come, and the Boy cried, “Wolf! Wolf!” as loud as he could: but the people were so used to hearing him call that they took no notice of his cries for help. And so the Wolf had it all his own way, and killed off sheep after sheep at his leisure.
You cannot believe a liar even when he tells the truth.
