Video: Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski – Bringing Down the Cancer Industrial Complex

The Cancer Industrial Complex (CIC) is one of the most powerful and profitable industries in the U.S. Total annual revenues are difficult to come by, as the industry dictates what and how information is disseminated. But a quick overview of some industry numbers is quite telling.

There were 12 new cancer drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2012. Eleven of them were cost patients more than $100,000 per year, according to an April 25 article published by the American Society of Hematology. Further, annual profits of the top-11 pharmaceutical giants — including Pfizer, Merck and GlaxoSmithKline — exceeded $711 billion in 2012, an increase of 62 percent since 2003, according to Health Care for America Now. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York made profits of more than $400 million alone in 2011, according to Time Magazine.

A relatively cheap, natural cure for cancer would obviously be a detriment to CIC stockholders. Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski is now their arch-enemy because of his treatments.

Antineoplaston Therapy

Dr. Burzynski was born in Nazi-occupied Poland in 1943. He graduated medical school at the age of 24 and earned a Ph.D in biochemistry one year later. He came to the United States and founded the Burzynski Clinic in 1976 in Houston, Texas. He started administering his antineoplaston therapy in 1984.

The compounds consist of peptides derived from human urine. Despite hundreds of patients being cured of inoperable tumors and other deadly cancers by Burzynski’s treatments, both the National Cancer Institute and American Cancer Society say there is “no evidence” that the treatment works.

USA Today is the most recent mainstream publication to attempt to discredit and belittle the Texas doctor. The report repeats the proverbial “snake oil” accusations, and goes a step further saying antineoplastons have “deadly” side effects. The report fails to point out the obvious deadly side effects of chemo and radiation therapies, and the massive price tags that come with them.

As Texas becomes a more eco-conscious state (it even has deregulated energy supplies, according to EnergySavings.com), the antineoplaston procedure appeals to a wider audience. Antineoplaston production and administration is not only more environmentally-friendly, but also uses far less energy than the aforementioned alternatives.

War On Burzynski

The FDA has been at war with Dr. Burzynski since he started administering antineoplaston therapies in the 1980s. His treatments are yet to be approved by the agency due to the inhibitive costs associated with the process. The Texas Medical Board finally waved the white flag after 15 years in January 2013, when it decided to stop trying to revoke Dr. Burzynski’s medical license.

Does It Work?

There are several examples, complete with medical records and direct testimony, from Dr. Burzynski’s patients that point out the treatment’s effectiveness. But keep in mind when doing your own research that the CIC is a well-funded, powerful machine that does not want to lose one dime in profits. The story of Rick Simpson, who cured himself of cancer with hemp oil, is similarly belittled and discredited by the CIC.

Cancer does not have to be a death sentence. Chemo and radiation are also not the end-all, be-all treatments. The best advice for those dealing with cancer themselves or with someone in their family with cancer is to objectively weigh all your options before deciding what to do.
