Blog del Narco: Drug Cartel Knights Templar Linked to Organ Trafficking and Cannibalism

Mexican authorities investigating the Knights Templar Drug Cartel cartel have made it known that they are looking into suspected organ trafficking but now they are talking about initiation rites in which its members are forced to eat human hearts, said commissioner Michoacán, Alfredo Castillo.
Speaking to the MVS station, the official said several detainees have claimed to have witnessed hazing led by Nazario Moreno, alias Chayo, who died on 9 March in a clash with soldiers in Michoacan, in southwestern Mexico.

Apparently Knights Templar members were also forced the to eat organs “when there was some kind of betrayal” or to “test the people,” he said.

On organ trafficking, said Manuel Gaspar Plancarte, nephew of one of the leaders “Templars”, Enrique Plancarte Solis, arrested last Thursday in Michoacán, said he had been involved in the mining and marketing of minor’s bodies.

However, he added, “organ harvesting is medically very difficult” because of the conditions that must be maintained, the issue of compatibility and the need to have “very educated” specialists involved in the process.
Alongside Plancarte Ricardo Morales was also arrested and accused of being linked to a network of traffic organs from children who were kidnapped and taken to safe houses.

He noted that currently do not have a number of children affected, but said they are doing a review of reported disappearance or abduction of children from Michoacán to compare them with databases of other states.

The location of the remains also will be a “difficult issue” admitted safety commissioner, who was sent to Michoacan in January last by President Enrique Peña Nieto to regaining control of the region.
“In a few weeks they have been able to make significant progress,” Castillo said in alluding to the deployment of federal forces in Michoacan following the escalation of violence and the expansion of groups of civilians who took up arms to fight the “Templars”.
The authorities have dealt severe blows to the Knights Templar in recent weeks with the arrest of several of its leaders or the death of others.
Enrique Plancarte Solís and Servando Gómez Martínez, alias “La Tuta” are still fugitives from the law.
