Facebook Joins Bloomberg To Ban Pro-Gun Speech, Seek To Limit First Amendment Rights (Video)
Facebook is currently working with two anti-gun groups to further restrict firearm discussions on its various pages in a move that will likely lead to the outright censorship of gun topics throughout the social media site.

After Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action spent the past month pressuring Facebook to censor gun-themed fan pages, the company finally agreed to reconsider its current policies, according to the recent anti-gun publication Venture Beat.
An insider told the publication that the ongoing talks between the gun control groups and Facebook were “progressing” and that they have already made agreements that are yet to be disclosed.
Moms Demand Action, which publicly partnered with MAIG in December, began to pressure Facebook last month to change its stance on firearms.
The anti-gun group even produced a video meant to “shame” Facebook for allowing its members to post pictures of and privately sell guns, despite the fact that many such transactions are perfectly legal in the vast majority of states.
But the group’s attack on gun rights won’t stop there.
Last month, a New York mayor exposed that the true goal of these organizations is a nationwide gun ban.
“It did not take long to realize that MAIG’s agenda was much more than ridding felons of illegal guns,” Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Mayor John C. Tkazyik wrote. “Under the guise of helping mayors facing a crime and drug epidemic, MAIG intended to promote confiscation of guns from law-abiding citizens.”
Likewise, the pressure from these groups to force Facebook to censor legal gun sales will only lead to an outright ban on firearm discussions on the social media site.
And unfortunately, Facebook already has a long history of censoring pro-liberty statements and banning users who promote basic human freedoms.
Last year, Facebook deactivated the Facebook page of a Pennsylvania gun store after the store’s owner announced his intent to raffle off an AR-15.
Additionally, in late 2012, Facebook suspended at least 20 accounts operated by individuals in alternative media during a 24 hour period, claiming that they violated “Facebook policies.”
The company also banned an image which contained a quote by Mahatma Gandhi explaining how the British disarmed the population during their rule in India.
Let’s face it, these anti guns groups that come up with names like Moms Demand Action, are nothing more than government sponsored propaganda machines, paid to push the governments anti gun agenda. Watch as more of these anti second amendment groups appear from out of no where as if concerned citizens have become politically active all of a sudden and formed a organization to support this governments anti gun agenda. The 2nd Amendment is based on the need for an armed body of men able to be drafted to put down invasions and rebellions, in the absence of a standing army.
It has been obsolete since we have had a large standing army. and the rational for gun rights was invalid. Gun ownership, like car ownership, is a privilege, subject to regulation.
The SC disagrees with logic, but the SC once ruled that people are property (slaves) and today believes that property (corporations which can be bought and sold) are people, with 1st Amendment rights.
My view is based on the actual text of the Constitution, which the Court ignores. No rational person thinks we lack a standing army, which is the condiition, per the 2nd Amenment text, for granting gun rights, which do not include any mention of ownership, private militias, individual self defense, or the right to take up arms against the government.
See Clause 15 and 16 to understand what a militia is: conscripted, organized, armed, and controlled by Congress. Since we no longer need a militia for defense, these rights are no longer relevant.
Excuse me — Clause 15 and 16 reserve the Militia to the States. They are also the only place in the Constitution that mentions Law Enforcement. All law enforcement is reserved by the States to their Militias. The Federal Government is not granted any law enforcement powers of any kind. You cannot find the words Marshall, Police, Agent, or any form of them in the Constitution, and, you also cannot find the word Prison. The Federal government was not granted the power to create a prison system. Please be aware of the fact that the Founding Fathers were very concerned about the government being established by the Constitution would try to take over and run everything. I don’t understand the problem here, It’s simple, if you own a gun, or believe in the Constitution, you should send facebook a small note telling them you are canceling your account because they deny your First Amendment right to voice your opinion about the Second Amendment.
