Ukrainian Panzer Tanks Set On Fire In Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine Warship Stormed By Russian Troops

As of 18:15 readers report that the burning tanks in the pits, with full ammo, fully fueled. Heard a strong explosion of detonating ammunition.

Meanwhile, about 15-20 armed Russian soldiers captured the Ukrainian military corvette “Ternopil’” in the harbor of Sevastopol’, 15th wharf. This information was confirmed by Vladyslav Seleznyov, the head of the Media Center of the Ministry of Defense in Crimea.

“15-20 armed men have started storming “Ternopil’”, informed Seleznyov.

Midshipman of Ternopil’ was able to contact the authorities and said this: “My ship was captured. Unfortunately, that’s all I can say for now.”

Right now I am amazed that Ukraine is not fighting back.  They are showing remarkable restraint and while i admire it, at this point Ukraine is going to loose its entire navy.   For that, I would fight.  Crimea, not so much.  

Now as to what is happening at the base of the 17th Tank Brigade is anyones guess.  It definately seems highly suspicious.  It is staioned at Kryvyi Rih. It consists of 3,500 troops under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Tarnavskiy.  It’s structure looks like this:

Ukraine says they caught a Russian spy today so I’m going to assumethis is an act of espionage by Russian or Pro-Russian forces inside Ukraine.  The 17th Guards Tank Brigade is 1 of only 2 tank brigades in the whole Ukrainian army.  Taking them out is a smart move for any force looking to invade Eastern Ukraine..   hint hint.
