Actually, the problem with this article, the source, and the law – is that unless you can prove, document and validate that you are using ‘non-GMO’ products (like corn or corn syrup) in America, you can’t claim ‘ORGANIC’ by any means. This is the old legal adage of ‘guilty until proven innocent’. Since you didn’t pay the 5x amount for the low-volume certified corn syrup, you can’t claim it isn’t GMO (and part non-GMO doesn’t cut it), and the first thing the ‘ORGANIC’ farmers jump on is that ‘OMG, YOU ARE DRINKING A GMO BEER!’. Seriously, just another reason to go GMO, because the Organic little guys are losing their mind and waging a negative image campaign of their own.
Oh, and if this list is so damn comprehensive – WHERE IS SAM ADAMS BEER on it? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Again – this was purely a beer-popularity slam, being as COORS wasn’t listed, but COORS LIGHT was? What’s up with that? A whole lot of beers weren’t listed, or mentioned, actually. Get over it. In Vietnam, they actually added Formaldehyde as an additive for BOTH BEER AND SODA, because of bacteria in the water! Ask anyone who served in the military there. We add the deadliest metal known to man (short of Plutonium) to our city water across the nation every day, and I don’t see them advertising FLUORIDATED WATER WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS NON-GMO CROP. Again, it’s convenient to throw rocks at a glass house, unless the guy in the glass house has a shotgun aimed at YOUR glass house.
Seriously – just how much beer do you have to drink, at 100-calories a bottle, to ingest enough GMO to compare to a dinner at your average Taco-nightmare restaurant? 10-12 bottles? Wow. Get over it – this is NOT the worst issue we are facing on this planet, by a LONG SHOT.
I’ll still occasionally drink Newcastle; it tastes good and a little bit of food coloring is harmless. What is far more important is water quality, especially because beer (and alcoholic bev’s) is a diuretic–since this makes you consume quite a bit more water. I want to know where the beer is from, and that it’s made from clean filtered natural water. I trust local sources because I know what’s in the water, and I trust beers that rate well on ffbeers.com .
After the first several “good” beers, they all end up tasting the same. lol

This is not a comment about the story as I have lost all interest in any stories on this site due to having to turn off SIX BLOODY ADVERTISEMENT VIDEOS MULTIPLE TIMES ON EVERY BLOODY PAGE I OPEN just so that I can try to follow the stories.
I’m also sick of having to press that little red X that appears with an advert at the bottom of every page I open, hiding part of the story.
This site has gone to the dogs with it’s over the top advertising. It is not a news site anymore it is purely a money making place with more advertising than actual news.

I used to drink “adult beverages”, especially beer, but no more. Alcoholic beverages have obvious negative effects, both mentally and physically. I choose not to “drink” anymore. I feel a lot better, physically and mentally. Wish I’d never drank in the past, but that’s over and done with, water under the bridge as they say. The costs associated with having to deal with medical issues, both psychologically and physiologically, that are directly related to the consumption of alcoholic beverages, is ignored in this article. Says a lot about a certain way of thinking that dominates this website, and all the others like it. Something wrong with this picture.
