War In Ukraine Comes To Chicagoland

A small bomb has been detonated in the yard of Sts. Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chicago. On its Facebook page, the parish reports, “A Caucasian male, around 26 years old, 5’6, 160 wearing a light blue and grey sweater and jeans placed a small bomb on our plaza that went off. He then ran away.”
Things are rapidly falling apart in Eastern Ukraine now. I will do more on that in a story later today. Not only has the conflict spread to here in America but Canada as well. On 5th April at Brampton, near Toronto, Canada, the Ukrainian Catholic Church of St Elias burned to the ground. Are these events signs of things to come? I hope not, there is a visible Russian/Ukrainian prescense in my town. Stay tuned…
