Blog del Narco: LA Gang Members Hired by Sinaloa Cartel to Find $300K in Minnesota
Three gang members from Los Angeles were charged with the kidnapping and torture of two young people in Minnesota. Allegedly they had stolen 60 kilos of methamphetamine and money belonging to the Sinaloa cartel.
Federal prosecutor Andrew Luger in a statement released today in the city of St. Paul Minnesota announced the charges against Jesus ‘N’, 31, Jonatan ‘N’, 22, and Juan Ricardo ‘N’, the “Chapo” 32.
The three suspects, face the possibility of life in prison for drug trafficking, in addition to lesser sentences for using firearms, kidnapping and threats to their victims, the prosecutor said.
Reportedly, the gang members were sent last month by the Sinaloa Cartel from Los Angeles to find out who stole the drugs and $ 200,000 in cash from a house in St. Paul. The location had been used as a depository for drug traffickers.
The official statement said the house was controlled by a Mexican cartel and, according to court documents obtained by the Star Tribune; it would be the Sinaloa cartel, which controls the trafficking of heroin and other drugs in the Midwest.
Apparently the two young men aged 16 and 19 years, were responsible for monitoring the home the home in Minnesota. The pair were attacked by the California gang members, tied to chairs and beaten for hours, while having guns pointed at their heads.
The kidnappers threatened to kill young people and their families if they did not compensate the Sinaloa Cartel in the amount of $ 300,000.
The prosecutor said in the statement that the allegations are “a dark picture of the violent nature of the drug cartels.”
