The Daily Star has reported that David Elder has sparked a frenzy of excitement with his five-minute video footage of the mysterious wave.
Elder claims it was caused by a moving 15-foot “solid black object” just under the surface of the famous Scottish loch. He explained:
“We were at the pier head at Fort Augustus and I was taking a picture of a swan at the time. Out of the corner of my right eye I caught sight of a black area of water about 15-foot long which developed into a kind of bow wave. I’m convinced this was caused by a solid black object under the water.”
David, from East Kilbride, near Glasgow, says the object swam up past him from the southern end of the loch. He described the scene:
“The water was very still at the time and there were no ripples coming off the wave and no other activity on the loch. Water was definitely going over something sold and making the wave. It looks like the sort of wave created by a windsurfing board but there was nobody on the loch at the time – no boats, nothing. The disturbance in the water began moving up the loch sideways. It is something I just can’t explain.”
Nessie first hit the headlines 80 years ago when a tourist claimed the monster had crawled in front of his car close to the water.
Since then, there have been several underwater searches of the loch in a bid to track down the creature.
Some searchers have reported seeing unexplained objects on their scanners, but no scientific proof of LAKE MONSTERS has ever been found.
