Until a few years ago the word “transhumanism” was unheard of, until movies like Avatar, Bicentennial Man, the Terminator, X-Men, and recently Transcendence arrived on the scene. Now many people have been awakened to the possibility of gene or robotically modified humans. It’s not just in the movies anymore, it’s a reality!

Our generation is witnessing the rise of this radical social movement known as transhumanism and many of them are looking to the future with religious fervor. In New York City’s Lincoln Center world-renowned scientific thinkers, inventors, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and spiritual leaders met for the Global Future 2045 International Congress. This meeting, also known as GF2045, was part of the broad and comprehensive endeavor that began in 2011. Dmitry Itskov, a Russian multimillionaire, birthed the 2045 Initiative who’s goal it was to create a social evolution of the human race through transhumanism and cybernetic immortality.
This organization along with DARPA, the National Intelligence Council, Department of Defense, and other governmental agencies are now working towards specific accomplishments in the near future:
Virtual Reality- They are seeking to create technologies where persons can exist in a virtual world similar to that of the Matrix.
Cryogenics- People frozen in hopes of being revived through technological advances in the future. Many believe given time through nanotechnology they can be revived.
Gene Therapy- Replacing bad genes with good genes and RNA interference. Scientist believe they can “play God” by manipulating the very thing that makes us who we are. They are currently manipulating animal genes and human genes.

Personality pills- Through drug and gene therapy these pills will help you overcome shyness, jealousy, increase creativity, and enhance emotions, etc.
Space Colonization- Expensive, but likely.
Molecular Nanotechnology and Self Replicating Robots- This technology is the hypothetical design and manufacture of machines to atomic-scale precision. They can build, replicate, configure, perform surgeries, and more.
Mind Control and Telepathic capabilities
Extended Life Spans- This could be accomplished through gene-therapy and manipulation.
Super Soldiers- Soldiers with unusual super strength, agility, and speed.
