As a grunt in the Marine Corps, I can compare todays situation to the many amphibious landings down the nets off of APA’s & tractors off of LSD’s. Once the landing craft have circled, finally forming the Line Of Departure (LOD), we head to the beach. Once we cross the imaginary point/line called ‘the point of no return’, we Marines are committed to land on the beach, no matter what, there’s no returning to the safety of the ship.

That’s exactly where we are now! We’ve reached ‘the point of no return’!
