Dog Shot In Face By Hammond Indiana Police

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

I am not one to bash the police, but this one hits home, this is very close.  Allegedly, an officer from the Hammond Indiana police department shot this dog in the face.  This is the second case of alleged animal abuse in a short time period.  Recently, an officer was accused of abuse after the below video surfaced on YouTube.  In this case I can only report the statements of the dog’s owner, Norma Maldanado.  First, and scariest, is she said her children, 16, 11, 7, and 11 months were standing 15 feet behind the dog when shot. As can be seen in the video, the dog has an “invisible fence” collar and signs were posted in the yard, including how far the dog could traverse the yard before being zapped.  The owner reported “”The police officer decided to jump out of his vehicle, take out his gun and shoot my dog in the face in front of all my kids and neighbors. He never said a word before he shot her!”.  I can sympathize with her fears, “What would of happened if he would of missed and hit my kids instead? Something has to be done… “.

We don’t have both sides of this story, but was lethal force necessary in this case, especially considering the children?

Here is the video we mentioned of the alleged abuse of a Hammond Indiana K9 dog (caution: explicit language):

Maybe he should be shot in the face…..how’s that for karma bitch!

I don’t usually harp against the police force, but the animal mistreatment is getting way out of hand. I love my dogs, and I would be devastated if something happened to them. My largest dog has saved (literally saved) my life twice. And I have literally saved his, twice. We have a bond.

      Don’t mess with him.

Someone should have taken a shot at the Pigs head while he was busy abusing the dog. As for the dog shot in the face…..did it die? Is it recovering? Am I supposed to guess?

This is all really getting out of hand! Why you ask?! Because there is never a punishment! These cops lately seem to think they can go running around whipping their guns out for the slightest reason. Whatever happened to warning shots in the air, tazers, or pepper spray?! If the cops these days are so terrified of everything, maybe they should think about going to work for Wal-Mart security instead. That might be more up their alley since they’re so afraid of everything and feel the need to hide behind a weapon! Used to be long ago an officers could work his entire career having maybe only fired his gun one time. Boy have times changed! So much for “protect and serve” anymore. I think I speak for a good majority of us that are dog “owners” that love our dogs when I say I am really becoming terrified for my own dogs. It seems you never know when an officer might decide he doesn’t like something or someone or is a wee bit scared. We better all just hope we’re not in the line of fire. So sad what this world has come to.
