Mexican Army Heli Fires On US Border Patrol Inside US, Texas Closes Border, Sends Armed Troops (Video)

Border Patrol agents in Arizona were reportedly fired upon by a Mexican military helicopter that traveled across the border.

KVOA-TV reports that Mexican authorities were conducting a drug interdiction operation when the incident happened early Thursday morning on the Tohono O’odham Indian Nation. The Mexican chopper fired at the agents and then flew back into Mexico.

Mexican military violating US territory is nothing new but this incident raises the bar.  If this were Iran we would have been in Tehran bombing them by now.  

Taking matters into its own hands out of the sheer necessity to protect its citizenry, Texas announced a plan to defend its southern border with armed troops. Civilian militias have also communicated their determination to augment those personnel with their own armed members. Senator Ted Cruz and others have called on the federal government to fund state-led efforts in lieu of providing Customs and Border Protection the resources it needs to do its job.
