Scientists have recently discovered what some are calling the “Godzilla of Earths”. These are a new type of huge alien planets that are about 560 light-years from Earth, and make the blue planet look ridiculously small and insignificant by comparison.

These “mega-Earths,” refer only to planets that are within inhabitable ranges and are likely to be Earth-like in nature. The exoplanet Kepler-10c, for instance, weighs 17 times as much as Earth. It circles star in the constellation Draco that is incredibly similar to our own sun.

Christine Pulliam, a spokeswoman from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said the following in a statement announcing the find: MOREHERE
