Opt-out of 'Galactic Federation' Research Programs ~ Greg Giles

In light of recent disclosures that the Air Force Research Laboratory, DARPA, (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), and the Department of Defense are engaged in social media research projects (Article here), and the recent revelation that your signed agreement that allows you to use Facebook also signs you up for participation in social – psychological based programs, I feel it is my duty to post an opt-out form on this blog pertaining to a past message I shared on this blog from those identifying themselves to me as the Galactic Federation. I wish to make it clear that I am not stating or insinuating any kind of link between those who identified themselves to me as the Galactic Federation and any government agency or program, I only feel it is my duty to make such an opt-out form available here. In the particular message I shared, volunteers were asked to leave their names in the comments section if they were willing to participate in an undisclosed research project(s).

DARPA’s webpage discussing their social media study can be found here, and I encourage all to take a moment and read what they have to say. You may also wish to research similar projects by other government agencies, and I remind you it is good practice to read carefully any and all agreements you sign on the internet. 

A DARPA spokesperson had this to say regarding the recent disclosures concerning social media projects; 

“DARPA‐funded studies that have involved sending potentially deceptive information to see how people react have been conducted with closed groups of enrolled individuals who have volunteered/consented to be in social media studies…”

The following opt-out declaration can be signed by adding your name into the comments section below (click the word ‘comments’), signifying you wish to opt-out of any and all agreements you may have made to participate in research studies. I certainly cannot guarantee you or anyone will be released from any such agreements, but I feel it’s my duty to offer this publicly posted opt-out statement nonetheless. Keep in mind, you may have to delete your Facebook account as well as it has been disclosed by Facebook representatives that you have agreed to participate in research studies by registering for an account. I also feel there are other internet websites, social networks, and even computer applications and programs that have inserted into their agreements your willing participation in such research programs.
