Savannah Ga: Cop Chasing Robbery Suspect Takes Pop Shot At Neighborhood Dog, Hits 10 years Old Boy (Video)
His gun shot shot missed the dog and the stray bullet struck the young Dakota Corbitt who was playing nearby. It is still unclear as to why the officer felt the need to shoot at the dog in the first place, and there is no indication that the dog approached the officer in a threatening manner.
The innocent boy was struck in the leg. The bullet entered from the back of the knee and exited out of the front of the child’s knee

Janelle Rich, Corbitt’s sister, told reporters of the horrific experience of her brother’s attack, and said that the officer seemed to have no remorse about what he had done.
“I ran out the house with one of my kids and saw my little brother on the porch pouring blood. He [the officer] was sitting there like he didn’t have a care in the world.” Rich said.
The officers name has not been released, nor has any information about his disciplinary action.
Dakota mother rushed out side because she heard a gun shot, she found Dakota was shot, he was then rushed to Coffee Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Savannah Memorial Hospital where he was held for several hours for surgery
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to investigate the shooting, however since that is just another state institution it is doubtful that the family will see any justice.

chasing a criminal does not give you the right to shoot a dog or boy. Take that man off the police force. He can’t make good judgement calls.
It’s evident the cop was not , (like our current president)
vetted in a proper matter. He was probably under the current scrutiny of Reid and Pelosi to be worthy of a badge.
The officer didn’t give the boy medical attention or call an ambulance? I guess he was stunned with remorse…

One of the worst things I saw was several officers restraining a man face-down in cuffs. The bad part was that they were acting like he was resisting, when he was not. The main guy on top of him was huge and kept pressing his thumbs into the pressure points under his ears. He was kind of groaning in pain but obviously trying to restrain his cries, and kept turning his head from side to side, trying to remove the pressure. The officer simply switched to whatever side was most accessible. It was like watching torture and was totally uncalled for. There is video of this, but no one could do anything. No one can do anything when it’s happening.
It was a long time ago, over ten years before the advent of filming cops with phones. At least we have that now.
Did the police rush that child to emergency or let the family rush off with the child? They are responsible for all the injuries and costs BUT they should do more! That family SHOULD NOT incur any costs for this shooting and the police officer should be retrained.
