FBI Rolling Canvas Op: Checkpoints In Michigan (Video)
(N.Morgan) An odd assortment of checkpoints have been spread out through Michigan, under the guise of looking for the murderer of a 14 year old girl. FBI stopping and interviewing traffic going in and out of a small town in Michigan. They are marking an X on the hands of people they’ve talked to. The odd thing about these checkpoints is that they are marking the hands of those they question. One has to wonder if this is some sort of test, to see how much interrogations the citizens will take. Will this be the new norm when searching for criminals?

I live in this town. My family paid our respects at this girl’s funeral visitation. We’ve donated to the family to support them in this time of need.
The police stopped cars in a three hour window of time exactly one week from the date of this girl’s tragic murder. They were hoping that perhaps a person who drives that route at that time, or on that day of the week may have seen anything that could assist with the investigation, perhaps delivery drivers or landscaping crews.
This article is simply an attempt to create fear and anger. This is offensive to me, the family of the victim, the Village of Armada, and the law enforcement officers who are working day and night to bring justice and some bit of closure everyone involved.

We aren’t all sheeple who wish to be branded “for the greater good” like you. Police investigations have been successful in the past without this sort of thing.
Just getting us used to being treated like cattle.
Seeing how long people will put up with being disrespected and degraded.
Each time they do it will be worse than the last.
I salute those who are willing to refuse. I hope I have the strength when it happens to me.

All these cops are wasting everyone’s time at this stupid check point. Anyone who knows anything would most likely come forward voluntarily. And if they did not want to say anything, they wouldn’t say anything at a road block either.
It is definitely unconstitutional, and unnecessary, and therefore part of an ulterior motive.
These cops should all be out investigating the murder, instead of wasting their time interviewing people who know nothing.
I agree with this comment. This seems to be a small community so I would assume any tips would be offered willingly. What a horrible tragedy my heart goes out to all involved. Peace.

I was born and raised in MI. Lived there almost 50 years and never once saw the police or FBI go to these lengths to find information. There is something just not right about this. Not to mention, I have NEVER EVER heard of police marking people they have interviewed!
I think if I lived in Armada, I’d be packing to leave. Something just isn’t right.
If Mike H is correct – that it is local and state police doing the asking, then the article IS bogus. This is standard (and acceptable) investigative technique. No probable cause is needed for simply asking for volunteered information. If one doesn’t know anything, say so and expect to drive on.
Maybe the police should tattoo the “x” on each citizen because what’s to prevent the murderer from drawing an “x” on his own hand? or better yet, maybe all of the residents should be equipped with a microchip so that they could just be scanned to know that they had been questioned already.
