Was the Lockness Monster just someone swimming? An arm's POV

The Lockness Monster is most likely the foreshortened view of someone’s arm swimming freestyle towards the photographer.  It appears to be the left arm with the thumb completely hidden in shadow.  I never thought twice about the infamous Lockness monster photograph being anything other than what it is.. a left arm sticking out of the water appearing to be going on the downward swing before hitting the surface of the water coming towards the shore (If the forearm was the opposite direction as if the subject swam away from the shore, the forearm would be highlighted).  If this is the case, then the elbow break expains the sudden curving appearance just before the wrist breaks in a very foreshortened angle of view.  It isn’t a mythical creature moving to the right.  Whatever the stroke whether it is freestyle or the back stroke,  the fact that the silhouette dominates the contours of the over all shape simply allowed for a controversy to rise making an eventual legend of all legends.
