Ebola was named after the river Ebola, near where the first outbreak occurred in ’76. (that is what them man who firat identified it says)
The Ebola River in northern Democratic Republic of the Congo is the headstream of the Mongala River, a tributary of the Congo River. It is roughly 250 km in length.
But it is interesting that this anagram does spell globe with very little creative license.

Funny, how Mort will dig out BS from Twelve Monkeys while completely ignoring all the other things in the movie that don’t fit his “magical thinking” theories. So for example, Mort ignored:
1) the disease in the movie originated in 1996/1997 (not 2014)
2) the disease in the movie was deliberately spread across several cities by a lab assistant/doctor, not some illegal immigrant looking to live in America.
3) The virus in the movie is airborne, unlike Ebola which is a direct contact virus.
4) There is no treatment for the disease in the movie, which is why they are seeking out the original strain. Ebola does have treatments available, but in short supply, plus it is quite well sequenced (which wasn’t possible in 1996) genetically.
Yep, it’s great to write an article where you can ignore everything that makes you look stupid and only include random items to make you look smart.
