If the mass animal deaths, melting star fish, cancer spikes, and deformed animals weren’t enough. We need to be vigilant Lisa but we also need to weigh much of this info we are bombarded with since it can be highly exaggerated or downright misinformation and fear porn. Right after Fukushima I too thought this was an apocalyptic event so I spent over $400 an purchased a radiation dosimeter or Geiger counter for the unwashed. My concern was to be able to screen our food for contamination and to monitor the environment so that my family can bug out if we suddenly find we are in a hot zone.
I live about 10 miles north of the 49th and about 80 miles inland from the west coast. I have never measured and radiation above normal background levels. I have measured outdoor shrubs after a rainfall or snow and although I have detected variations they have never been significant enough to put them out of the range of normal. My family also has avid sport fishermen so we were certain that we were going to detect radiation in a large returning spawning Pacific salmon run this past summer and was quite surprised that the fish we caught tested normal background radiation levels.
I know the dosimeter works because it will go off if placed near a clock with tritium painted hands or yellow colored glass which is tinted yellow by adding uranium in the glass making process. There are web sites set up where private citizens can report their environmental rad levels and they are posted real time on a map. I have checked these for hundreds of miles around my location and found that the readings they posted coincided with my own so I know their readings are not bogus.
I will not be sucked in with this fear porn but should it ever change I am prepared to take action by way of potassium iodide pills to bugging out if necessary but not unless my own measurements tell me its time.
This makes sense to me that you’re not seeing anything beyond normal rad. levels. The reason I say this is because if there are all of these mass die offs of creatures washing ashore there would probably be pictures of beaches with dead animals and fish all over the internet but I haven’t seen any.
Is all this fear-porn worth having your child(ren) taken away because some alphabet agency feels like you are an unfit mother?

Dover is at radcon ……..5 with 126 CPM
Pitsbug is at radcon …… 3 with 140 CPM
grand rapids is at radcon 3 with 186 CPM
What am I missing here?
186 is higher than 126 but 126 gets a radcon 5 and 186 gets only a radcon 3?
dover is the only radcon 5 the rest of the east coast is fine.
I believe it’s because the levels are based on a comparison to the background level for that station. So a station that has a higher average background level is going to need a higher current reading to get to a given radcon level.
East coast mayhem from Fukushima? Maybe Lisa needs to look at a globe.. and then spanked.

We have to stop them from dumping radioactive fluids into our oceans. The west coast has now found their radiation levels climbing. Also our animals are dying off from the radiation. Obama has so many news articles being blocked from the news. Keep the public in the dark. We have to react and do something to stop this. Our animals are too important along with our population. Stop radiation of being pumped into our oceans from Japan. Anyone who comes down with cancer should sue Japan. We have to stop them!
There are many sources of radiation. The sun, electro smog, depleted uranium weapons, nuclear testing, nuclear accidents, etc. The levels of UVB rays getting through the ozone layer are 10 times what is considered normal. This is why when you stay out in the sun for very long, less than an hour nowadays, you get a sunburn without sunscreen of some type on.
