Armed Rebellion Against Police Across America (Video)

I don’t think alot of people realize this but 2014 saw a war break out between citizens of this country and the police culminating most recently with the ambush of two NYPD officers in their squad car while on patrol in Brooklyn and the killing of a Florida police officer who was then ran over.  The incidents were less than 24 hours apart.  Overall, in the last decade, ambush and surprise killings of police are down but have risen in the past couple years.  While I can’t say if politically motivated ambushes are on the rise ornot, given the current anti-police sentiment and overall government hatred in this country, I’m not surprised to find many of the below incidents to be politically motivated.  

June 8th – 2 gunman attack and kill 2 Las Vegas police officers while eating pizza at a restaurant and then went next door to a Wal-Mart, killed another person and then killed themselves.  The attack was politically motivated. The suspects stripped the officers of their guns and ammunition, and covered them with a yellow “Don’t tread on me” banner. One yelled, “This is a revolution.”

June 12th – A St. Louis police commander is ambushed by a jogger with a sawed-off shotgun.  The policeman was uninjured. 

June 26th – 2 LAPD officers are ambushed outside their Wiltshire Dr. precinct. Both were injured. 

July 13th – A felon and gang member in Jersey City, New Jersey roughed up a Walgreens and waited for police to arrive.  When police showed up he shot one officer in the head killing him instantly and was in return killed by other officers. The gang to which he belonged declared war on all Jersey City police and vowed to keep killing cops until the National Guard was called out.  

Aug 12th – A suspect opens fire on first responders to a trash fire.  The suspects motives were political.

Sept 5th – 4 Indiana officers came under fire while trying to evict a man from a house.  1 officer was killed and the suspect then committed suicide.

Sept 7th – A Topeka, Kansas officer is shot and killed in cold blood by a drug addict during a traffic stop. 

Sept 12th – Vietnam War re-enactor and Survivalist Eric Frein ambushes two Pennsylvania State Troopers outside their barracks in the Poconos. 1 Officer is killed and the other wounded.  It took 48 days for police to capture him. Suspect admitted killing a trooper because he was dissatisfied with government and wanted to “wake people up”.  

Nov 19th - A potential ambush was thwarted when police did not show up after a suspect armed with an m-4 and wearing camo waited in a restaurant for them to show after tripping the alarm.

Nov 23rd – Responding to a house fire, firemen and police officers arrived and then were fired on by a gunman inside the house.  1 officer was killed and 1 wounded before the gunman was shot and killed. The suspect was politically motivated.

Dec 12th – 2 Atlanta PD officers are injured while responding to reports of a home invasion.  Thesuspect was also shot and is in critical condition.

Dec 19th – A St. Louis policeman, off-duty at the time, is shot multiple times while driving in his car by occupants in another car who were driving by.  The officer is expected to survive.

Dec 20th – 2 NYPD officers are ambushed and shot dead in Brooklyn in revenge for the death of Eric Garner, a victim of police brutality.  The gunman then went to a nearby subway station and committed suicide. 

Dec 21st – While investigating a noise complaint, a suspect opened fire on an officer killing him and then stealing his patrol car and ran him over.  The suspect is in custody.

I cant remember at anytime since I’ve been alive and aware that anti-police sentiment has been so high.  I’m no fan of police myself but I would never call for or condone the killing of them either.  They too are people with families and children.  Contrary to the popular sentiment, not all cops are bad.  Will this trend continue into 2015 and will it get worse?  That remains to be seen but as long as incidents like this, this, this, this and this continue to happen, I don’t forsee any changes to the current anti-police hatred that is raging in America right now in the forseeable future at all.
