The Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Otto H. Warburg, had devoted his life to the study of and cause of cancer.

Dr. Warburg was one of the 20th centuries leading biologists, and he discovered that the root cause of cancer is too much acidity in the body, meaning that the pH in the body is below the normal level of 7.365, which constitutes an “acidic” state. Warburg investigated the metabolism of tumours and the respiration of cells and discovered that cancer cells maintain and thrive in a lower pH, as low as 6.0, due to lactic acid production and elevated CO2. He firmly believed that there was a direct relationship between pH and oxygen. Higher pH, which is Alkaline, means higher concentration of oxygen molecules, while lower pH, which is acidic, means lower concentrations of oxygen…the same oxygen that is needed to maintain healthy cells.

In 1931 Dr. Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for this important discovery. He stated, “Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas healthy tissues are alkaline. Water splits into H+ and OH- ions, if there is and excess of H+, it is acidic; if there is an excess of OH- ions, then it is alkaline”.

In his work The Metabolism of Tumours Warburg demonstrated that “all forms of cancer are characterized by two basic conditions: acidosis and hypoxia (lack of oxygen). Lack of oxygen and acidosis are two sides of the same coin: where you have one, you have the other.” “All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen, but cancer cells can live without oxygen – a rule without exception. Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for 48 hours and it may become cancerous.”

Dr. Warburg has made it clear that the root cause of cancer is oxygen deficiency, which creates an acidic state in the human body. Dr. Warburg also discovered that cancer cells are anaerobic (do not breathe oxygen) and cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen, as found in an alkaline state.

        Lemon Juice is not actually acidic but alcaline. Your taste-receptors just interpret lemon juice as acid :D

          That’s not true at all. A ph meter will show lemon as an acid. I tested it myself and it read 4.3ph, heck the banana read the same. Acidic fruit will have an alkalizing effect on the body. Sodium bicarbonate has very little effect on blood ph, if the blood varies by just 1 level of ph you will dead. The urine and saliva can be effected to show a much greater ranges of ph.

          Lemons have a sour taste and are therefore acidic, but once metabolised, the effect inside a human body is alkalizing, which raises the pH of blood. That is why lemon juice in warm water first thing in the morning is so healthy.

      According to this additional piece of ‘ancient tripe’, vinegar, lemon juice and tomato sauce are cancer-causing, while lye (sodium hydroxide), ionic surfactants (soap additives) and sodium bicarbonate (not a food) are good for you.

      See, when you say it like that, it always makes the foolish snake oil salesmen sound rather dangerous, don’t you think?

      Seriously people, you can be ‘out of pH balance’, but then again, your stomach and most of your human biological systems ARE DESIGNED to work in an ACID pH state! (your stomach acid is a mild solution of HCL, Hydrochloric Acid, along with sodium and potassium chloride, salts). Neutralize this with ‘supposedly-innocent’ sodium bicarbonate, and you will stop digesting food. You will then end up with a stomach BEZORE that MUST BE SURGICALLY REMOVED before it causes you SERIOUS health risks.

      Stick with just eating healthy, good food – in moderation, and forget this ‘cure cancer’ crap. It will kill you far faster than the cancer will.

      Drink water with lemon juice, since lemons are actually alcaline.
      Do not drink shortly before/after eating, since your stomac acid is becoming less acidious, thus you’ll need more time and energy to digest.

      Our diet has far more contributing factors to the pH levels found in our body than whether or not we have enough oxygen. Yes oxygen deficiency can contribute, but if you’re downing double quarter pounders, supersize fries, supersize cokes, bags of chips, and anything else developed to kill you then guess what, cancer imminent.

      Just by cutting out junk foods and eating a properly balanced nutritious diet will do more for anyone than sucking back extra oxygen.

      Baking soda is inorganic, lemon does turn alkaline in the body. A slight shift in your body PH to the alkaline side, will help hold off degenerative diseases like arthritis, some diabetes and cancers.
