Drone Disease: Obama's Putrid Secret

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

President Obama’s White House lawn invaded by a drone drink-driver early this week prompted his public statement about the need for more drone regulations in the United States less than one week after a former US Air Force Drone Operator hailed for killing more than any other, blew the whistle on the Commander-In-Chief’s related major human rights abuses, a “disease”, one of the biggest secrets about an unmanned aerial vehicles.

“The drone that landed in the White House you buy in Radio Shack,” Obama said Tuesday, after a drone operated by a secret service agent, who’d been consuming alcohol, invaded the White House and landed on the president’s lawn.

Not mentioning the drone “disease” he has authorized overseas that has killed thousands of innocent people, Obama on Tuesday addressed domestic drones, comparing them to cyberspace and saying U.S. laws and regulations still need to catch up with new technologies.

“You know that there are companies like Amazon that are talking about using small drones to deliver packages. … There are incredibly useful functions that these drones can play in terms of farmers who are managing crops and conservationists who want to take stock of wildlife,” Obama said. “But we don’t really have any kind of regulatory structure at all for it.”

Such regulations also are missing on the battlefield, where major drone-related human rights abuses occur daily. The latest account of such “putrid” abuses was provided last week by a former Air Force Drone Operator, who manned drones’ cameras, “guiding the missile into impact.”

“We didn’t even really know who we were firing at,” said Brandon Bryant, once lauded by superiors for killing more than any other with drones, former US. Air Force Drone Operator.

Last November, the human rights group Reprieve published a study about attempts to kill 41 terrorist suspects in Pakistan and Yemen resulting in over 1,100 civilian deaths. For six years, Bryant, a former US Air Force Drone Operator was responsible for manning the drones’ cameras and “guiding the missile into impact.”

Asked by the Russia Today interviewer to respond to an anti-drone activist’s allegation that drone pilots were “murderers,” Bryant agreed that was essentially true. He said he could no longer stand the person he had become; killing people he didn’t know and then watching President Obama and CIA Director Brennan on national TV saying “no civilian casualties”.

‘Drone program is diseased’

America’s drone program is diseased and people should know this, Bryant says. The disease is so rampant, according to Bryant, drone operators are being driven out of the poorly-managed program, that he describes as “putrid.”

One of the biggest secrets in the world of US drone human rights abuses is that, according to Bryant, Air Force troops have begun quitting by the hundreds.

Unfortunately, Bryant’s former colleagues, all of whom remain brainwashed have turned their backs on him for speaking out against the official lies about civilian deaths and the systemic flaws within the program, according to Forbidden Knowledge.

Bryant described an Afghan woman face to face with him. Her completely innocent husband and brother had been killed in a drone strike.

“Why did they have to die? She asked Bryant. “They weren’t the bad guys.”

His initial response was, “I don’t know,” knowing his response was completely unsatisfactory and trying again, saying, “I’m sorry the mistake happened and I’m doing everything that I can, to prevent further mistakes from happening.”

“These drone ‘pilots’ are basically executioners,” an activist told Russia Today as he represented nodrones.com.

When Russia today asked Bryant why he quit, he said it was a lot of things, but mainly one: “The leadership lacked quality.”

This raises the question: What regulations will fix America’s lack of quality leadership regarding its major human rights abuses related to drones’ targeted executions?

“U.S. drones rain missiles down on innocents in Pakistan; hundreds of children die daily in Afghanistan because of the war; contrary to what the President says, the occupation in Iraq continues,” Veterans For Peace representatives have stated. “The devastation and misery caused by these wars has not even begun to be addressed. Rather than bringing democracy and freedom to the people of Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. is destroying their countries — perhaps beyond repair.”

Those veterans warned Americans that the same horror is rippling onto US soil where the Pentagon and drone industry has already begun to be used against US citizens.

We should not think that the destruction and suffering unleashed by war is limited to Iraq and Afghanistan. Individuals and whole cities here at home become ‘collateral damage.’ Millions of people are thrown out of their jobs and then out of their homes. Pressures cascade onto state and local governments as the stagnant economy and frustrated voters further decrease funds for essential services. Our infrastructure isn’t bombed, it just slowly rots.

Unlike “heroes” involved in American Sniper, both its producer Clint Eastwood and star sniper Chris Kyle, like other Veterans For Peace, Bryant upheld the law, based on common human rights’ decency.

Bryant said the other main reason he quit is the same one hundreds of others said they quit: “I was questioning the actions I had participated in. I couldn’t stand myself for doing it.”

In terms of human rights’ common decency, the real heroes this week are not Eastwood, Kyle, nor drone operators nor drone pilots killing and maiming hundreds of children and other innocent people daily. The real heroes are Bryant and the hundreds of other former drone executioners who have quit working for their Commander-In-Chief Barack Obama.

Thank goodness for real American heroes, unlike the fake ones too many fellow Americans are glorifying, such as Clint Eastwood and Chris Kyles.

Some mass murderer name Brandon Bryant who by his own admission “We didn’t even really know who we were firing at,” is a hero ??? LOOOL This guy is a serial killer

      • Deborah Dupre

Yes, he was – as all drone operators and pilots are ordered to be. The difference is that he and hundreds of others are now quitting – more than we could say for the hailed American Sniper Chris Kyle and producer Clint Eastwood.

      Good story, Deborah. Thank you.

I find this kind of instance very interesting. There are so many who get gradually sucked into the dark morass, losing their souls in the process. Some few wake up enough to remember that they have a soul and a conscience, and then reclaim them. What was the defining moment that caused this soldier to wake up and reclaim his soul? Must wonder.

      Good information I didn’t know.
      Everyone needs to know this.

Thank you, Jilliane, for obviously being one of the far too few people with compassion and principles… Look at the number of views of this article. Then look at the number of Americans who are turning out in droves to watch and applaud Clint Eastwood’s ‘American Sniper.’
