A short analysis of brainwashing and power over thousands of years by the same people under different names, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the three ‘Abrahamic’ religions, all based on the Old Testament.

Are you aware that the religion of west’s current “enemy’” Islam, is also based on the Old Testament? That their whole Judeo-Islamic Ethic is very simiilar to the Judeo-Christian Ethic?

What ‘clash of civilizations when every prophet that ever came to us had the same message, “Do unto others…”?

Here’s the base control code:

“Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground – trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…”

BUT DON’T TOUCH!

The control is fear of God’s further retribution for any other ‘sins’ including the original inherited sin, decreed by all subsequent ruling religions including such rubbish as being sent to eternal Damnation for eatnig meat on Friday and many other miniscule rules, regulations and obsurities that made the path fraught with angst. .

Then came The Fall!

 Pretty simple, so I’m pretty sure Genesis was written by the ruling class ‘serpents’ of that time who were as hesitant then as today to describe God as a benevolent, all-knowing and all-forgiving Father Figure because they obviously, like the so-called rulers of today, wanted control over ‘the masses’ and used religion to get it.

At the same time God gave man Curiosity and Free Will, which rulers don’t really approve of if obedience by manipulation is the rule, so the schools and the rpeachers ignore the logic that He must have known that His creation would be tempted and Free Will would be exercised.

So the concept of Inherited Sin (that Adam and Eve committed, not you or I) was programmed into our minds by the early rulers and stayed as the the Church / State ‘Sin’ program since then: “That sin and its guilt that we all possess in God’s eyes as a direct result of Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden.

Much later it was called “Original Sin” possibly at the Council of Nicea where the Christian Bible was finalized and Church and State became one secular bureaucracy called the Roman Catholic Church still ruling under the Ancestral Sin program, the same yolk on the shoulders of Muslims.

However, the Serpent did say, “You will not certainly die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Esoteric (Secret) Societies from Ancient times still initiate candidates in a ritual that ends in a ‘psychological’ death a spiritual awakening in which ‘time tops’ or the phenomenological field up to that moment, shatters with the end of innocence, the opening of the Third Eye, the creative imagination resting in the Pineal Body.

Curiosity killed the cat?

“So the Lord God said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock  and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will c1rush your head, and you

 will strike his heel.’”

Add a negative phallo-phobia into the mix and you have the beginning of an understanding of the now defunct Freudian psychological model.

To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

… “So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.  After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.”

That would scare the shit out of anybody, let alone a ten-year-old or an ancient semi primitive nomad. And with sin comes guilt; and with guilt comes anger, which can be harnessed for warfare…The FBI had a way of identifying ‘terrorists’ by cruising bars and waiting until they found someone railing against the government, made friends with him, primed him, armed him and then another FBE squad captured him… another terrorist…’ and so on.

So what’s this ‘transition’ from a violent society to a sharing society?

Since Capitalism became the new religon and the fear of inevitable debt replaced the fear of God’s wrath, we have lived a life with an inevitable end: the Capitalists have won the game and are busy leaving the building… without lights or water or access to the doors, now just taking the taxes for interest on national debt so there’s just no money for power grids or water reticulation, road and bridge maintenance… Black Out time, folks.

The alternative is our new technology- the instant meme transfer in global communication – over today’s Gutenberg press, The Internet and of course, widespread travel and the understanding that .

The answer may lie in Marshall McLuhan’s Global Village and Permaculture or Permanent Agriculture:

A Permaculture garden is actually a modern Garden of Eden, but without the sin and guilt and flaming swords keeping technology and any knowledge of the biosphere away from us..

By adopting Permaculture ethics and principles in our daily life we can make the transition from being dependent consumers to becoming responsible producers.

And that is a very big thing because, in America the welfare state has fifty million people on welfare who are reviled as ‘takers’ and unemployment is at extremely high levels all over the world.

The Permaculture journey builds skills and resilience at home and in local communities that will help us prepare for a very uncertain future running out of energy.

The techniques and strategies used to apply these principles vary widely depending on the location, climatic conditions and resources that are available. The methods may differ, but the foundations to this holistic approach remain constant.
