Christian minister spreads the message of an impending tsunami and earthquake in the US which will cause 35 to 40 million deaths. Other witnesses confirm tsunami and earthquake. No date is known but government positions missiles on Puerto Rico to destroy asteroid. Asteroid will hit off of Mona Island (near Puerto Rico) at 0200 with a force that will stop the earth from spinning. The date of impact is unknown. Minister said this is not an end of the world event.
The Rev. Efrain Rodriquez, a Puerto Rican Protestant minister, has a message from God about an asteroid hitting off of Mona Island (close to Puerto Rico), causing a huge tsunami, millions of deaths and unseen destruction throughout the Caribbean and the mainland US. Rodriquez knows the time of the impact but not the date. He said that it is imminent. It could happen tonight, tomorrow, next month, next year, but it will happen. Rodriquez notified NASA and President Obama. There are unconfirmed reports of government stockpiles of food, medical supplies, body bags, and other supplies on Puerto Rico.
Sophocles in Antigone (441 BCE) noted the response to a messenger who was the bearer of bad news: “No one loves the messenger who brings bad news”. Nothing has changed in over 2,000 years. Even in our modern world, it takes a courageous person to bring bad news to an unreceptive audience.
This is not the end of the world. However, for those who don’t believe in God and sin and live in the impact zone, it will be end of their world and they’re not going to like their next stop, according to Rodriquez.
Our world has changed over my lifetime and not for the best. I can remember as a public high school student listening in homeroom to passages from the Old Testament one day and the New Testament the next day. Our football and basketball teams would huddle and pray The Lord’s Prayer before the games started. Even if you didn’t go to a church, you heard about God in school. There were never any fights in school and there was no need for a Vice Principal in charge of discipline. None of us were saints, but in our blue color neighborhood, even the bad kids knew the difference between right and wrong. Don’t count on this today. In Engel v. Vitale(1962) and Abington School District v. Schempp (1963), the US Supreme Court established what is now the current prohibition on state-sponsored prayer in schools. This has to rank up there with one of the dumbest decisions by the Supreme Court. Now, we need metal detectors and police officers to screen students for weapons and drugs.
It’s easy to see that Rodriquez’s message would not make him a popular figure in Puerto Rico, especially for those who live their lives without any need for God. But, Rodriquez is not looking to pastor a huge congregation or run for office on Puerto Rico. Based on the latest statistics, he’s fighting an uphill battle.
A Harris poll in 2013 found “that a strong majority (74 percent) of U.S. adults say they believe in God, but that’s down from the 82 percent who expressed such a belief in earlier years.”
Based on the U.S. population of approximately 319 million (2014) this means that about 83 million don’t believe in God and will more likely dismiss Rodriquez’s message.
Rodriquez said he was given a message from the Lord to alert people to change their sinful lives, return to the Commandments, love their God and neighbor, forgive those who have harmed them and trust in God before the tsunami and earthquake.

No one will ever be able to tell you if it’s real or not. Speculation isn’t what the lord wants for our lives. He provided a road map for our lives and to worry and fear is something we’re not suppose to do. I pray that if it does happen that those people affected have the chance to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. Death does not matter in the face of ever lasting life.

His sources told him that the impacting comet was going to stop the world from spinning for three days; I pointed out that as the earth does not spin, or orbit the sun, then clearly the entire “prophecy” could be discounted, as coming from a source other than that which was claimed.

If the earth stopped rotating suddenly then the oceans would rush over the continents. What will happen is the earth’s rotation will slow over a few hours before coming to complete stop thus preventing the waters from inundating continents.

Oh come on! How come all these prophecies or predictions are always US-centered. How come none of these so-called prophets ever predict anything happening in Luxembourg.
This whole “if you believe in God you will be saved” thing makes no sense. My theory, for which I have no empirical evidence, is that if an asteroid really does strike off Puerto Rico, it’s not really going to matter either way. The whole concept of praying for one’s own salvation is a supreme act of selfishness and violates the commandment about taking the Lord’s name in vain. If any God does exist, he’s not concerned about individual people or nations, but all life on earth in its totality. When I was living in the US, I’d always get offended by the constant reiteration of “God Bless America.” I’m like: “excuse me?” That’s exactly the same thing as saying “God curse all nations that are NOT America.” I’d also find it really offensive when they’d have a prayer right before a ball game. Like, why should God, the creator of the universe actually care whether team X or team Y wins. If it really was efficacious, would that mean that the team that wins is the team that prays the hardest, irrespective of any athletic abilities?
Nah man, I don’t ascribe any importance to this or any other false prophecy. Just ask yourself: which of these so-called prophets predicted 911 or any other event of any major importance. None of them. They’re all false prophets, no exceptions.
if you believe in God you will be saved. The question you need to ask is “saved from what and for what reason?” Physical salvation is NOT where it’s at.
I understand what you’re saying but you’re making it way too complicated. The question isn’t salvation vs. non-salvation, but love vs. non-love. To love God means to love all life in its totality, and not just one particular person or class of people. Let me use the following analogy: do I care if my rabbit believes in me or not? Can I have any way of knowing whether or not he does or does not? Not really, but I can surely tell that he loves me, and that’s the only thing that matters.
Christians, this Universal conscious stuff is like “Pushing communism” for eternity!

You have existed before the dawn of time here, in this physical universe.
“Here” is an “amusement park” for the trillions upon trillions of pure energy form self-aware sentinel beings, the gods, (US) that have existed since before the beginning of time itself, here, in this physical universe.
We do NOT reside “here” at all!
Never have, never will.
We exist in a “formless, timeless” void.
We have NO physical body of any type.
NO sight, no hearing, no touch, no body, no “reproduction”, no sensation, NO LIGHT to “see” with, none of what you “believe” will be “permanent” in any imagined after life.
We identify one another by the unique “wave-length”, “osculation”, or “vibration” that our “self aware life form” exists at.
We are “Pure formless energy” “Vibrating” at different and specific wave lengths for all of eternity.
NOTHING can cause us any “pain” or “harm” or “destroy” us in ANY WAY!
All of the above (sight, sound, light, time, etc.), and much more is why we come “here”.
We experience none of the sensations and experiences gained “here” in our eternal pure energy form and home.
All “roles” are played “here” by all who come “here”.
Anything we “think” here becomes a part of this physical reality.
We should be able to go from “Life form” to “Life form” “here” at our will.
That is how we designed this universe to be, and it still is.
But, that damn “Light” present at the moment of bodily “death” is such a magnet for most (complete with “overwhelming sense of “love”, with fresh human memories materialized, and waiting to greet you to “bring you to the light, to “love”) is a “high voltage bug like zapper, that STRIPS you completely of all eternal memories, which includes the “life” that you just departed from.
NO one from our eternal “home” EVER has to incorporate into a Human body, or, if they have, come back here, EVER!
It simply does not matter.
NO loyalty should be extended to the “Ride Car” (“your” physical body here) used here.
Are you “Loyal” to the Ride Car that takes you around the track at “Magic Mountain”, located within Disney Land?
Do you “pine” for the vehicle that you used when here, and now is waiting for someone else from our real realm to “occupy” it??

Yes he is probably right. No one knows the day but why would the government go to the expense of placing the missiles if there was not some possibility of truth to it. I believe this is God sending us a warning, No harm if it doesn’t happen, but if it does there are many people that should be getting right with the Lord, and this is a very good thing. There are two locations mentioned from different sources of the impact within the Atlantic ocean depending on data acquired by telescope and computer analysis. First location near the east coast of the US and Puerto Rico which would explain the fema preparedness and coffins. The second location again off the east coast of the US but farther north. In both situations there is no mention of the earth stopping its rotation.
Many people have had dreams of such an event. Who can say where the source is, the adversary, God, something else, doesn’t really matter. Something is coming and it will effect more than just the US.

How can this be true? He said that they have coffins and body bags and supplies on Puerto Rico. Why would the government put all those supplies on an Island that will be completely wiped out?
The Bible describes the most notorious merchant nation of all times, and dealer in apostasy, in terms of a prostitute, prescribing a public stoning as the just punishment for adultery. Look at the statue of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, and it is destroyed by a rock.
We see hospitality and longsuffering as virtues, but must admit that, even if we don’t so much as lift a finger, the situation is too dysfunctional to bear it’s own weight and would eventually become intolerable, in a just universe. The Bible is not speculative, but specifically says that sin results in natural upheaval.
Missionaries discuss theft, murder, and malingering, with realworld primitives, on simple terms, and even they know the difference.
Wow. This makes no sense at all. If this asteroid is big enough to stop earth from rotating we are all dead. You can’t stop the planet, which is rotating at about 1,000 miles per hour at the equator and bring it to a stop without killing pretty much everything.
The waves would be miles tall! Earthquake you say?! The entire earth would quake, and I am not talking about one fault line. The explosion from an asteroid this big would practically blow off a large portion of earth.
Do I believe this will happen? Yes eventually. The odds are that earth, given enough time, will be hit by something this big. Hopefully that will be millions if not billions of years from now.
