Eric Garner Filed a Lawsuit Claiming NYPD Officer Violated Him by “Digging His Fingers in My Rectum in the Middle of the Street”

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

A lawsuit filed by Eric Garner against the NYPD nearly a decade ago claims they violated him by penetrating his body and exposing his penis to passersby in the middle of street even though he asked to be taken to the station, then slapping a fake drug charge on him when he said he would sue for violation of his civil rights.

You can read the body of this lawsuit Eric Garner filed against the department seven years ago in his own handwriting for yourself:

The suit reads in part:

Officer William Owens and his team stopped me for reasons of there own. I was ordered to place my hands on the black suv in which they were riding in. I complyed with no problem. Officer William Owens then patted me down by ways of going through my pockets and socks and not finding anything illegal on my person. Officer William Owens then places me in handcuffs and then performs an cavity search on me by ways of “digging his fingers in my rectum in the middle of the street.” Office William Owens also unzipps my shorts and pulls out my penis and feels under my testicals in the middle of the street, all while there are people passing back & forth. I told Officer William Owens to stop and if he wanted to do a strip search on me I’m willing to go to the police station if he wanted to because I had nothing to hide, my request was ignored. I then told Officer William Owens that I was fileing charges for him violating my civil rights, I was then hit with drug charges and told by Officer William Owens “that I don’t deserve my city job due to the fact that I’m an convicted felon on parole.” (I work for the New York City Park Department.) [sic]

Could this bad blood between Garner and the NYPD have anything to do with his chokehold death at the department’s hands? Did a man really have to die for the high crime of selling untaxed cigarettes? Why were they so infatuated with Garner anyway?

Obviously Garner is a sore spot for the NYPD long after his death, considering that recently they were caught amending controversial Wikipedia entries about his case, including the specifics about Eric Garner’s death.

As The Daily Sheeple writer Joshua Krause reported, “The most atrocious edit, in my mind at least, was when they edited one of the instances of ‘chokehold’ to read ‘respiratory distress’. What a polite way to describe strangulation.”

Indeed.
