It now appears that menace may realize the goal set by the US and its Gulf Emirate allies to eliminate the Shia dominated government of Syria and absorb the country into the ISIS Wahhabi Caliphate now gobbling up large swaths of Iraq and Syria.

Al Arabiya News reported on Tuesday Syrian airstrikes against ISIS in and around the ancient city of Palmyra have not stopped the advance of the terror army. ISIS took Palmyra last week. Palmyra is strategically located. It provides access to military bases and gasfields in addition to highways leading to Damascus and the central city of Homs.

Two Israeli Air Force F-16s shot down over Yemen ~ link ~

This week two F16s were shot down over Yemen. When the wreckage was examined, both were found to be of types never supplied to an Arab nation, not Saudi Arabia, not anyone. The only “buyer” in the region for that type of plane is Israel.

With two Israeli planes downed this week, fresh Saudi markings painted on them, and a strong confirmation of a tactical thermonuclear attack on a Yemeni airbase, a neutron bomb attack (NRR No Residual Radiation), the Yemen war is now clearly an Israeli war.

The aircraft was shot down by an updated BUK system supplied by Russia – Yemen is well-equipped with modern Russian weaponry including MiG-29s and advanced air-defence systems, a fact that has clearly been overlooked by the Saudis and their Israeli allies; they have grossly underestimated the capabilities of their enemy and as we have seen before, most notably in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah – Israel does not do so well when it’s victims are prepared and capable of fighting back; perhaps they thought they were bombing undefended civilians in Gaza?

Recently too we had some good news finally coming from France. Former president Giscard d’Estaing, elected in 1974, who was then running the third most important country on earth (now hardly the tenth, yet the most submitted to American-Saudi ‘axis of evil’), was interviewed by the pro-American review International politics (N°146). The interview was so strategically incorrect and subversive that it was reduced to silence in that neo-totalitarian state we called once the French Republic. I discovered this interview thanks to Russian friends. It is important to mark that the journalist was an aggressive and biased ignoramus, an insolent asset because our ex-president was not advocating for the third World War against Russia. But this is the republic we live in. Any journalist in the West has to revere what he is paid for: raising inequality, global dumbness and perpetual war. Remember Obama’s interview, which I commented last year, made by a naïve advocate of the NOW: the BRICS have to be punished, given they do not work anymore for the system…

Mr Giscard d’Estaing reminded his little enlightened audience the history of Crimea. Crimea belonged to a Turkish power, then was peopled by Russians, then was separated from Russia by Kruschchev – who wanted to reinforce Ukraine and Byelorussia in order to give Soviet Union more votes at the UNO. Then a young and shrewd technocrat and politician, Mr Giscard d’Estaing tells he expected this artificial dependency to wither away with the years.
