Strikes apparently targeted weapons caches on the outskirts of Sanaa, producing spectacular explosions and sending up plumes of smoke that were visible for miles. Another barrage of Saudi-led strikes reportedly decimated a Houthi convoy traveling in the south Wednesday morning.

The threat of Saudi warships attacking the cargo ship isn’t lost on Iran, which says it will provide a naval escort for the ship to Hodeida, near the capital city of Sanaa. A previous attempt by Iran to deliver humanitarian aid to Sanaa by cargo plane was thwarted when Saudi warplanes blew up the airport to prevent them landing.

In particular, the Pentagon report concerns the use of anti-satellite space weapons, which is has not been forthcoming to the public about:

50+ killed as ISIS attacks Syrian troops in Homs ~ link ~ 

30 Syrian soldiers were killed in the fighting, along with 20 ISIS fighters. Over 100 fighters on both sides were also wounded.

Aid groups are expressing alarm at the latest comments from Israeli military officials, who say they intend to deliberately target Shi’ite villages across southern Lebanon during the next war. 

Israeli military officials are claiming some 100,000 Hezbollah missiles are hidden in southern Lebanon, and say that this had made every village in the area a “military compound” and therefore a legitimate target.

Rights groups strongly disagree, with a Human Rights Watch official warning it would be a “violation of the laws of war to treat entire villages or the entire south Lebanon as a legitimate military target,” adding that Israel has an obligation to distinguish between military and civilian targets.
 
  

Why are the Exchange-Traded Funds preparing for a ‘Liquidity Crisis’ and a Stock Market Meltdown ~ link ~ 

Some really weird things are happening in the financial world right now.  If you go back to 2008, there was lots of turmoil bubbling just underneath the surface during the months leading up to the great stock market crash in the second half of that year.  When Lehman Brothers finally did collapse, it was a total shock to most of the planet, but we later learned that their problems had been growing for a long time.  I believe that we are in a similar period right now, and the second half of this year promises to be quite chaotic.  Apparently, those that run some of the largest exchange-traded funds in the entire world agree with me, because as you will see below they are quietly preparing for a “liquidity crisis” and a “market meltdown”.  About a month ago, I warned of an emerging “liquidity squeeze“, and now analysts all over the financial industry are talking about it.  Could it be possible that the next great financial crisis is right around the corner?

According to Reuters, the companies that run some of the largest exchange-traded funds in existence are deeply concerned about what a lack of liquidity would mean for them during the next financial crash.  So right now they are quietly “bolstering bank credit lines” so that they will be better positioned for “a market meltdown”…

US House of Representatives approves a weak “reform bill” - The USA Freedom Act - That in effect extends the unconstitutional Patriot Act ~ link ~
 
In a 338-88 vote the House of Representatives today voted to pass the USA Freedom Act, a bill which extends the soon-to-expire provisions of the Patriot Act and offers some nominal reforms in the name of privacy.

Starting as a relatively weak reform bill from Sen. Patrick Leahy (D – VT) last year, the USA Freedom Act was further watered down, to the point that many are complaining it doesn’t really do anything meaningful in reform at this point.

Six are arrested in Ireland in plot to kill the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall ~ link ~ 

Six men have been arrested in the Republic of Ireland over a plot to assassinate Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, who are due to visit next week.

It is understood the men all have links with the Continuity and Real IRA, both of which are illegal in Ireland and designated terrorist organizations in the UK.
