Bull Slop! The Red Phone! Putin Calls Obama To Discuss Ukraine, ISIS, And Iran

Well, one paper says Obama called Putin. A few othr reports say Putin called Obama. Does it matter? How many think these two are in cahoots to destroy America? Just look at their actions, folks. Two many things do NOT add up. Check these out:

 

Obama discusses Ukraine, ISIS with Putin in telephone call

WASHINGTON –  Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Barack Obama spoke by telephone Thursday and discussed continued tensions in eastern Ukraine and the fight against ISIS in the Middle East. The last time the men spoke was in February, the White House said.

Both the White House and the Kremlin offered similar statements describing the conversation, Thursday evening. The White House said Putin initiated the call to Obama.

The White House said Obama told Putin Russia needs to meet commitments it made in Minsk, Belarus, earlier this year, including the removal of troops and equipment from Ukrainian territory. The Kremlin said the two leaders agreed that U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin will discuss implementation of these agreements.

The call came on the same day NATO’s supreme allied commander cited a continuous flow of ammunition and other military supplies from Russia across the border to Ukraine.

The Kremlin said the two men devoted “significant attention” to confronting terrorism and ISIS in particular and agreed to have Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry meet to review the issue. READ MORE BS 

 

Putin calls Obama to discuss Ukraine, IS group: White House

Putin, who has consistently denied backing the pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine, initiated the phone call with Obama, according to the White House.

“President Obama reiterated the need for Russia to fulfill its commitments under the Minsk agreements, including the removal of all Russian troops and equipment from Ukrainian territory,” it said in a statement.

The crisis in Ukraine has killed 6,500 people in a little over a year and a peace deal struck in Minsk, Belarus has unravelled.

Obama and Putin also discussed Syria, where the self-proclaimed Islamic State group has made rapid gains, as well as historic negotiations between world powers and Iran over its disputed nuclear program. Read More BS

 

Russia Will Not Invade Baltic States

There is little doubt that U.S. and European media have been hyping a potential Russian invasion of Eastern Europesince Vladimir Putin pulled off his stealth takeover of Crimea over a year ago. As Bryan MacDonald of RT points out, while a Russian invasion of the Baltics or even Poland is not entirely impossible, it is highly unlikely as Putin is no fool.

Although MacDonald’s thesis is essentially correct in the opinion of this writer, his analysis reflects his anti-American biases as it is extremely one-sided and falls woefully short of accurately describing the complex geo-political situation in Eastern Europe.

MacDonald begins by asking a loaded rhetorical question to try and force the reader into a false dichotomy. He says:

“Here’s a starter for ten question: Russia’s reunification with Crimea last year was prompted by which of the following…
a.) a very particular set of historical circumstances, allied to the will of the overwhelming majority of the local population.
b.) Vladimir Putin’s desire to launch a blitzkrieg military campaign, complete with goose-stepping Russian soldiers marching across Europe?

If you are not a raving-mad neocon or someone who has difficulties with reality, the correct answer is a. Crimea was Russian territory for centuries and had been transferred to Ukraine as part of an administrative re-alignment at a time when both states were part of the Soviet Union.
