I used to live in a small town in SC called Townville. Across the road on the property I rented was a small lake. That lake was built by the ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERS. That would have been done in the fifties. We caught walleye and pike in that lake. The ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERS apparently does do things like build lakes for private property owners like people who own golf courses.
