Apple Co-Founder: We Will All Be Pets to Robots One Day, Like Dogs

As the arguments rage on about the coming artificial intelligence boon and the fact that robots will stand a more than 90 percent chance of taking over eight out of the top ten jobs that hire the most people in this country, now chief executives are coming out of the woodwork to say it’s all okay because apparently…

We’ll make great pets.

Speaking at an event at the Freescale Technology Forum 2015 in Austin, Texas recently, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said artificial intelligence being in charge of everything is actually a comforting thought, and it’ll be great when we “will probably treated in a similar fashion to dogs” by robots Fortune reports.

But, he said, they won’t eradicate us like in the The Terminator movies because humans are part of nature, so we have to be kept:

“They’ll be so smart by then that they’ll know they have to keep nature, and humans are part of nature,” he continued. “So I got over my fear that we’d be replaced by computers.”

Wozniak believes robots will helps us because we’re the “gods originally.”

But hey, I guess being a pet dog to a robot is still better than being hooked into one of those creepy goo-filled battery pods like in the movie The Matrix.

Apparently Wozniak also likes the coming Internet of Things, but did take time out during his talk to warn that that some smart-grid connected devices in our homes could possibly attack humanity…

Oh gee. Great.
