American gun ownership laws have long been a patchwork of confusion, primarily brought on by liberal progressives who espouse the misnomer that an unarmed population is beneficial to the entire society. In fact as this article will prove, the lower the gun ownership is, the more violent is the society. In the United States 18 states fully recognize out of state carry permits, 8 states have broad reciprocity without conditions, 14 states have conditional reciprocity and 10 states have no reciprocity. States with the most restrictive gun ownership laws IL, (Chicago) NY, (NYC) NJ, (Newark) CT, (Bridgeport) MA, (Chelsea) CA, (Oakland) Washington-DC, MI, (Detroit) and OR (Portland) also have the highest violent crime urban areas. 

Flint MI, Birmingham AL, St. Louis MO, and Oakland CA Detroit MI, Cleveland OH, Bridgeport CT, and Chelsea MA top the list of most violent. It would seem reasonable to look at the political climate in these cities and see if there is a correlation between crime and political structure. Flint, Birmingham, St. Louis, Oakland, Detroit, Bridgeport, Chelsea, Cleveland, Washington, all have progressive Democrat administration. Lets look at wealth of communities to see if there is another correlation. Flint $ 30,094, Birmingham $26,563. St. Louis $19,063. Oakland $ 31,930. Detroit $ 25,193. Cleveland $25,290. Washington DC $46,000 (DC 78,800)(1) Average for America is about $44,880 and Washington DC is an anomaly due to government jobs.

I will not even address the stupidity of gun-free-zones; it seems to me like an invitation to terrorists and criminals to do their worst. Every violent act of terror committed, that I can recall, in the last ten years, has been in a gun free zone! Noteworthy is the crime statics for Switzerland one of the lowest in the world with the highest gun ownership per capita. Also notable is the fact that both in Switzerland as well as America large portion of all crime is base in minorities and recent illegal immigrants. In America 22% of incarcerated criminals are illegal immigrants. (2) The governor of NJ certainly knows that, his demagogy of “The Donald” is noted! 

Every statistic, income, unemployment, political party in charge, per capita income, reveal that places that have the highest crime rates have below average income, higher than normal unemployment, and the community is run and managed by progressive Democrats. It would seem logical that the citizens of those communities would wake out of their stupor and change their voting patterns. 

Socialism as we have learned from Greece is a hard taskmaster. Once the victim (people) takes the bait of free stuff; it’s over. In 21^st century America about 47% of the population have taken the bait. Greece with a retirement age of 50 and one of the largest civil service populations in Europe simply compounds the situation. (Average public sector employment ranges from 6.335% (Singapore) to 33.87% (Sweden) Greece is at 30%.) When however we calculate dependency on retirement pensions, which are 80% of the last year of work, and add the civil servants well over 58% of the population are on public dole. Most can retire after 35 years of work, which is at 53. Greeks, by the way have made a fine art-form out of avoiding paying Greek taxes, on corporate, private and individual level. In Greece 25% of the entire GDP is underground, never reported or collected.

A socialist society will always vote in accordance with their perceived political allies who are the providers of their benefits. The Sheeple then follow the herd doing all the things that herds do—primarily stop thinking. When Barack Obama, Charlie Schumer, Diane Feinstein, Michael Bloomberg, Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio then blow their no guns for the people, guns are dangerous, social justice, Forward, Hope and Change trumpet, the herd follows. The fact that they stopped thinking a long time ago is proven by the crime and murder rates in all the precincts wherein they live.  (Chicago, Baltimore, Cleveland etc.)

I think there is a strong case to nationalize carry permits, the castle principle, and right to self-defense if confronted by a criminal to be national in scope. Here, in Florida, we had a very serious car-jacking problem before statewide carry laws; after those laws were enacted car jacking became a rare event. Guns are especially for the old and women, a great equalizer, giving a 90-pound woman and an 80-year- old man the same power as a 300-pound teen. Recent mass killings have demonstrated the absurdity of gun control wherein most such attacks have taken place in gun-free zones. This has reached the point where I either ignore the sign or if it is a public establishment, like that over priced coffee house Starbucks, or I simply will not patronize it. 

The Lamestream, ever on the side of opposing self-protection does not trust the good and honest people of America, they never report issues honestly, and there is always some anti-gun twist. I have never read that 99.9% of all gun crimes are committed with either stolen or illegally obtained guns. They do not usually report illegal immigrant murders of American citizens even though there are well over 100 of these every year. They never report that the crime was in a gun-free zone. They don’t report when an armed citizen prevents a crime. They endlessly claim that it is possible to purchase a gun at a gun show without passing required state inspection, which is a lie. They whine endlessly about; “if only there were no guns, if only they were outlawed”, say, come to think of it, that was exactly what every dictator of the world did first, outlaw the private ownership of firearms. As a side note, all those politicians trumping gun control have armed bodyguards. By the way, if there is one thing that scares the hell right out of an authoritative government it’s an armed population. 

The right of self-defense is an inalienable God given right; it is based in all our laws from the Magan Carta of 1215 onward. It is not restricted to your home; it is a personal right applying to the individual that transcends country, state, county and municipal borders.  It is not restrictive of device, gun, knife, sword or any weapon; these are necessarily part of the right of self-defense because they equalize all humans. For this reason and no other, America should have a national reciprocity law requiring every state to accept the carry permit of every other state. 

Criminals or those who plan violence, always avoid anyplace they sense armed citizens, criminals pray on the weak, the unarmed, the old and the weak. Guns are the great equalizer; they protect the weak, the old and women, from violent criminals. Waiting for the police to arrive is not an option, there are not enough police and the average wait is 15 minutes by which time the assailant is long gone.
