Update: Still No Media Coverage Of Huge Protest [Video] Thousands Take To Streets In NYC To Protest Obama's Dangerous Iran Deal
Does anyone actually believe it’s possible that Barack Hussein Obama is the only person in America (with maybe the exception of Valerie Jarrett) who doesn’t see this is a horrible, lopsided and dangerous deal for America?
Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Times Square Wednesday evening in protest over the recent landmark nuclear deal with Iran.
As CBS2’s Jessica Schneider reported, some 10 thousand are rallying in solidarity with signs and voices raised against the nuclear deal.
Protest organizers proclaim: “Washington is prepared to give Iran virtually all that it needs to get to the bomb. To release $150 billion to Iran will result in the expansion of worldwide terror.”
Former New York Governor, and Presidential contender, George Pataki joined the chorus of voices urging lawmakers to block the deal.
“Reject this deal. Protect America. Protect Israel and protect the world from freedom,” Pataki said.
The Stop Iran Rally Coalition — which claims to be a bi-partisan group — is also calling out Sen. Charles Schumer, saying he “has the votes as presumptive leader to override this deal….If this deal is not stopped, New York voters will know whom to blame.”
Sen. Schumer said in a statement Wednesday that he wasn’t ready to make a decision on the deal yet.
“I’ve read the agreement and I’m seeking answers to the many questions I have. Before I make a decision, I’m going to speak at length with experts on both sides,” the lawmaker said.
In Washington, Secretary of State John Kerry led back-to-back, closed-door briefings, trying to sway lawmakers to approve the deal to curb Iran’s nuclear program.
“We are convinced that the agreement that we have arrived at with world powers is an agreement that will prevent Iran from the potential of securing a nuclear weapon. It will make the region, our friends and allies safer, it will make the world safer,” Kerry said. “And we are convinced that the absence of any viable alternative absolutely underscores that fact.”
Meanwhile, Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. is fiercely lobbying lawmakers to reject the deal. And Republicans are pledging to do just that.
“Because a bad deal threatens the security of the American people, and we’re going to do everything possible to stop it,” said Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner.
And many at the rally said more people in the country need to start listening and speaking out as well.
“I’m very concerned about what our situation is here. Nobody wants this deal to go through and we’re hoping that Obama will hear the voice of the American people and we’re hoping that Congress will listen to what we have say. And hopefully we can do something about that,” said one protester.
“I feel people really don’t understand the main issue. To me the main issue is not what happens 10 years from now, but what happens as soon as the sanctions are removed from Iran,” another protester told Schneider. “Which is the main terrorist regime in the world, which spreads terrorism all around the world, which is responsible for the deaths of Americans as well as Israelis.”
Several academic, military, and political leaders will speak to the crowd Wednesday night. All of them urge that this is an issue that transcends politics and they’re urging Congress to keep sanctions against Iran, even if it means overriding President Barack Obama’s likely veto on any legislation against the deal, Schneider reported.
Congress has 60 days to approve or reject the deal. The Senate will hold a hearing on the deal Thursday.

Perhaps worry less about the nukes Iran may get, and consider that it must already have enough of them to get a US administration run by Israel to compromise for the first time, which is the usual result the moment a nation becomes a nuclear power. America never invades someone who will nuke back.
Pataki said, “…protect the world from freedom?” Really?! And, can we not think of anything better to do with $150 million than give another country the ability to have a nuclear bomb? Are we really saying that we prefer as a nation to kill the hungry instead of feeding them? What does that say about Americans as a people? And, if we do not want to feed the hungry, is there nothing better to do with $150 million than promote nuclear terror? Does anyone is Washington D.C. have any idea what the American people want?
I think the quote “protect the world from freedom” is just a typo.

The biggest argument that should be made regarding the new Iran nuclear deal is to consider what would have been the results in diplomacy rather than invasion had been used with regard to the alleged weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Since Iraq did not really have any weapons of mass destruction someone like Kerry who pursued a negotiated agreement for Iraq to give up weapons it did not have any way would have succeeded.
A diplomatic solution as opposed to Bush’s military solution would have save more than $1 trillion and many lives.
The second Iraq war was not a war for oil but rather a war “against oil”. Bush and Cheney were obsessed with the “12 and 12″ scenario which was based on the premise of which countries Saddam Husain hated most. Probably the places Saddam Husain hated most were: Kuwait since Saddam Husain still felt that Kuwait should really be a possession of Iraq, Saudi Arabia which had supported Kuwait and had allowed the United States to use Saudi Arabia as a base to invade Iraq from. Saddam Husain hated Iran which had fought a war with Iraq that involved more than 1 million casualties. Lastly Saddam Husain hated Texas the home of George Bush, who had vanquished Iraq in the first war.
The treaty that ended the first Iraq war limited Iraq’s oil exports to low levels until Iraq could demonstrate that it had no weapons of mass destruction. By its’ terms the treaty would eliminate all restrictions on Iraqi oil exports if the UN certified Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.
The “12 and 12″ scenario considered the question of how Saddam Husain could destroy the economies of the 4 places he hated most. The answer for Saddam Husain to demonstrate to the UN that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and flood the world with oil by producing 12 million barrels per day which would drive the price down to $12. This would devastate the economies of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Texas.
Hans Blix the head UN inspector had 137 inspectors on the ground in Iraq and promised that if given 6 more weeks he could determine conclusively whether Iraq had or did not have weapons of mass destruction. Bush and Cheney were unwilling to risk the “12 and 12″ scenario and thus invade Iraq.
The “12 and 12″ scenario was preposterous since Iraq’s oil fields were is disrepair and could at most produce 3 million barrels per day. Furthermore, with demand from China and India growing the price of oil would not have been impacted much even with addition oil from Iraq.
Bush and Cheney knew that they would probably hang if the American people knew that billions were spent and thousand died to prevent the price of gasoline going to 50 cents per gallon. They knew they had dodged a bullet when Michael Moore’s film and others called it a war for oil.
Interestingly, all of the references to the “12 and 12″ scenario published prior the invasion seem to have been deleted from the internet except for a transcript of the CNBC Kudlow program which aired a week before the invasion and where Larry Kudlow mentioned the “12 and 12″ scenario as a reason for the war.
