Mansfield, Texas firefighter and a former marine Daniel Gaskey had stopped by the Oasis Food Store for a cup of java on his way to work in the early morning hours of June 26th. In the video, it appears that he was about to pay for his purchase when a man holding a knife approached him from behind and basically shoved him out of the way. Gaskey, not immediately understanding the situation, put his hands up in a gesture of compliance and took a few steps back, before he realized what was happening in front of him. After accessing the situation, Daniel grabbed the 19 year old perp from behind and took him down instantaneously, putting his skills to good use, holding the criminal until police arrived, Bravo!
