Vacuum salesmen vs Planet X
I had a visit from a vacuum salesman about a week ago, so I decided to let him in — you probably guessed why.
He proceeded with his demonstration, not just with a vacuum; he also had an air filtration system unit. He demonstrated just how many dust bunnies were floating in the air in my nice living room. It wasn’t long after he was right into his presentation, believing he had made a sale when he asked me what I did for a living. I proudly answered that I was semi-retired but to fill my day I told him I wrote articles for a Web site. He made the big mistake of asking what I write about and I hit him with the words “Planet X.”
I asked him if he had heard of such a thing and to my surprise he had. I asked him what he knew but he did not know too much. Needless to say, he was here for three hours and I gave him the Planet X lecture, I assumed that he was interested and also somewhat concerned as to the quick overview I gave him on what I had learned about Planet X over the last three years.
I obviously told him that he was not successful in selling me a vacuum or an air filtration system, as I told him it would be very likely that we would be out of power in the near future and that I would rather spend that money on food, water and ammunition, but the reaction from him did not really surprise me. He said that if Planet X was that close he was just going to spend more quality time with his wife and whatever happens happens.
