John Russell Houser, immediately portrayed in the media as a man with mental issues and anti-government views who was able to obtain a gun because we just don’t have enough gun control laws, shot up a Lafayette movie theater a few weeks back killing two people, coinciding with the nearly three year anniversary of the Aurora, Colorado Batman movie shooting (which was repeatedly mentioned and likened to this shooting over and over in the mainstream media).
The movie showing at the time was “Trainwreck,” which stars Amy Schumer.
Amy Shumer just so happens to be New York Senator Chuck Schumer’s cousin. Senator Chuck Schumer just so happens to have recently introduced new gun control legislation.

The “Trainwreck” star appeared with the New York senator this morning at a news conference with a sign saying “Enough Is Enough” by their side.
“Amy may have started out as a comedian but this subject is really serious,” the senator said, adding, “I have a lot of press conferences but I almost never get this many people.”
Never get that many people, huh? You don’t say, Senator. How often does it work out that a Senator has a celebrity endorsing his legislation just like that?
